Probably safest ways to store Monero are Ledger and paper wallets.
Probably better to join the pool, since you'll need a lot of time and some luck to get reward on solo mining.

You can also use this guide for setting Monero wallet on Ledger with GUI: https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/9901/how-do-i-generate-a-ledger-monero-wallet-with-the-gui-monero-wallet-gui
You only need to download whole blockchain once, then you only need to synchronize it (download newly added blocks). So if you do this regularly then it won't take more then couple of minutes.
Sure benefit is very big as your private key is safely stored on Ledger and never leaves it. So this is the safest option for storing crypto at the moment.

yep , you got me , in the meantime i already found some options for it but with that i also realized myself that it would cost months/years to solve this and all i said was that i believe that there will be a time that it will be worth the time

If you know exact position of word in your passphrase and if this (https://github.com/monero-project/monero/blob/master/src/mnemonics/english.h) still applies then you "only" need about 1625 tries.

You can try once every day and I believe once you will find the right one it will already be worth it. Wink
