better than BitCoin?

Monero have great features comparable to bitcoin.

how does it scale?

It has some advantages over bitcoin.  Notably adaptive block size.

On the other hand the privacy does make for a larger block chain.

is there a block explorer available?

EDIT: found it. thanks!

Just a heads up for those who have asked. I have Monero chips back in stock @ Cryptochips.net

Cool. Just bought. It would be nice if it could be paid for with Monero Smiley

Thanks I'll pack it up now and mail tomorrow.

I used to accept 10 currencies but it was too much work to manage all the wallets.

The change in memory usage (Linux 64-bit) from Monero release 10.1 to 10.2 is just impressive (had some downtime in between the update):

That is awesome.  Another spur to get a Linux box up and running, as I've been 'working on' for the last year  Cheesy Roll Eyes

Wow. That is really impressive. I havent checked how much ram gets eaten on windoze but I can bet its not less than 3gb. Theres still an uncertainty with enormous ram consumption and cpu load during sync, and this is why I never fully synced the daemon. The frustration of waiting problem.

Windows 10 x64, 10.2.1 :

daemon + GUI = 350 Mb after sync, maximum was 600 to 800 Mb in total during sync, if I'm not mistaken...

the 0.10.2.1 point release fixes two sets of RPC issues that affected the 0.10.2 point release

This is for both CLI and GUI, right?

CLI only. There will be a GUI release in the near future too.

I successfuly replaced the 0.10.1 files by the 1.10.2.1 in the GUI directory, seems to work :-)

Also can you point me to where it's explained why this is added?
