Is Wolf's miner working with old cards as Cypress? Seems that Claymore's works fine.

Att : Schleicher : Sorry, I missed your publication, I was fumbling around with my compu, installing cuda 7.5 , then 8.0, and ran into a driver problem, and card ID prob.
I downloaded your latest versions as well, will build me another computer, and start from the beginning.
Then I have a miner, Cuda, etc and give it a try.
Just got 3 slightly used GTX 1080, or 1070, will see, when I can go for them, which would be a good start, for trials
What can I expect from your miner ? in what to mine web page, and a lot of other, they notice , a GTX1070 would be good for 500Hs in xmr / cryptonight ?
Thx for your work !

other question

In Cuda, do I install the nvidia driver, or do I let Cuda install it's driver ? Last time, I had a driver installed, and let cuda install, ending up with 4 drivers, notably, two the same, while the original was same version, as one from cuda, but the cuda version was noted to be cuda enabled ?

Other problem

I don't know how to compile

Any compilers that would be willing to help me out ? contact me ?

Hey miners - What's the best AMD/NVidia GPU right now for XMR?

What do you all reckon is the best for hashrate?

AMD R9 390xfor 800h/s stock,  if power draw is no concern
RX470 for 580(stock)-700h/s modded
RX480 for 640(stock)-750h/s modded

none of the 1060s will be in that ballpark

Modded? what you mean by modded?

what you guys think of immersion cooling?

How much heat does a rig of 6 RX 470 cards can make compared to a bitcoin miner? thanks.

With the 0.10.1 binaries, how can I solo mine with the following setup, without pool software:

Computer 1 CPU : Running monerod and solo mining (I can do this now...I need help with the next computer)

Computer 2 GPU (AMD): Solo mine using Computer 1's blockchain/daemon

Use wolf AMD miner. Read its README. https://github.com/hyc/wolf-xmr-miner/tree/daemon

Thanks!

Seems like CPU mining Monero supports only SSE2 and AES, there doesn't seem to be support yet for AVX, AVX2 or SSE4.1. Are they planned or not?

Pretty sure none of those other instruction sets offer any instructions that CryptoNight would benefit from.

Are there any settings for a low power bios / mod? Using the strap mod only so far to reach 660 h/s

Thanks i have found this also, but it seems that it is not optimized for the new 10 cards at all? Smiley

Super, thanks a lot! Smiley

I concur with those 470 speeds as my modded rig does about 690 per RX 470 and my new rig that I have nodded modded yet is getting about 575 per GPU.  Mode "-a 2" seems to seems to the best choice on both of my rigs. I can get maybe 2/3 hashes more per card using "a -4" but it also consumes a bit more wattage so not worth it for the nominal hash gain.

What I am very curious about is the -h command.  I have only used 1024 as an experiment but it didn't really change any visible hashrates within the miner.  I do not fully understand the technical aspect of this command so would appreciate some insight from those that do.  I am trying to figure out the optimal -h command for my GPUs, which are:

-4x MSI RX 470 Gaming 4GB
-1x Sapphire Nitro RX 470 8GB

Also, am I right in assuming that the nitro could be pushed farther since it has twice the memory of the MSI's?

Guys, using Wolf GPU v10 (i think that was the proper version). miner, on a R9 290 Sapphire Tri-X (non-unlockable).

Drivers are 16.12.1, using per profile overclock for the miner, with 1050/1500 clocks (stock voltage) and manual fan control at 2400rpm. Speeds are 840H/s for 75*C.

Config is: no CPU use at all, 800 raw intensity, 2 threads, worksize 16.

I do not think its possible to run it any faster without touching voltages and increasing clocks (and power consumption).

According to GPU-Z, average Power In is 120-130W. With the rest of the system on idle and 85% power efficiency, this comes to maybe around 250W from the wall.

Does this looks good?

Can the GPU-Z power consumption be trusted?

using what miner? do you have a link to a website with modded BIOS or should ETH cutoms BIOS mods also be sufficient for XMR?
