He must be in vacation, look when the ethminer 12.0 was updated. Even though this miner has become free. A new version will come out when his support will be most needed by the community.

Really doubt that claymore is on vacation, just check out his lastest comments: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/claymore-306958

He is working on new version of eth miner.

Do you plan to upgrade the miner to support the new monero algo CN R?

I think it would be profitable for him to update the miner. I think he cannot be bothered though, maybe he wants some freetime to spend all the money he is making from the other miners that generates cashflow.

Well, it is always up to the dev to decide how to spend own time and money. He sees balance, and seems like don't see to much advantage in improving CryptoNote .

+1 would love to see a claymore update to current algo!
It's very unlikely, last update was to CN-V7 and miner was set free by Claymore. Since then, 2 additional tweaks have been done to monero's POW.
Why is it unlikely? It will take too lot of Claymore's work to take into account all the additional settings to the algorithm?

Hmm.. MY guess is that it isn't profitable for Claymore anymore. So no more updates and miner fee-less for everyone for now.

Yet, a statement from Claymore about this would be nice.

A bull run would put all these views and assumptions to test.

Claymore doesn't wish to update this miner because the profit from miners of Monero is very small. There are a lot of other miners with good stability and hashrate for this algo. Unfortunately, they don't have such a good Remote control as EthMan.exe.

That's sad. Hopefully, circumstances will allow Claymore to change his position about CN V8. His miner would be clearly not superfluous

Claymore's CryptoNight AMD GPU Miner.

I have always donated using Claymore miners, Ethash, Equihash etc.

I am very disappointed you do not seem to be planning an update for Cryptonote. I feel I have definitely donated enough to warrant such an update as I am sure your other donators do too.

@claymore why not reinstate devfee and update? there are a lot of profitable Cryptonight coins out there now and I know you understand the nature of a trading economy.

people, who's mining on hd 6950 V8 ? What miner?
I'm using XMRStack on R9 280 with Adrenalin 18.5.1 drivers. Hashrate is up to 460 h/s. These cards have a similar architecture. It seems to me that XMRStack will work also on hd 6950.

What gets me is he asked before the fork if anyone new of testing pools myself and a few others gave pools to test and here still nothing

It's probably because the crypto prices fell further and he figures there won't be much demand for his software.

I've tried the alternate miners and they are a little different but they work at least. However with the recent price slump I just shut everything down together. And I am sure others have also.

I get it but some of us have seen this before with gpu mining I remember when I first started mining everyone was mining scrypt coins with their gpu's than asic came out and profits sunk than x11, x13 and other algos came out for gpu miners than asic came out for those now where seeing the same trend asic are out shiting on gpu miners only to have new algos and devs fork their chains to fight them the point is claymore can't make a shit load of money of us gpu miners than when shit hits the fan bail because once things pan out and gpu miners profits go up either because of the market or new algos expect to come back and have everyone jump back on board with his miners ppl will remember when shit got rough what devs stuck it out with them

Looks like Claymore didn't spend all the money from our mining fees yet... If this possible to spend such big amounts of money during one life...
It looks like he found something more profitable than cryptocurrencies and miners. He has more than enough skills to work as a programmer everywhere.

Video card sapphire r9 290 tri-x oc, did not overclock, bios did not reflash, error only on the algorithm lite 1(
GPU0 found incorrect share. If you see this message often, make sure you that you did not overclock it too much, also try to reduce "-h" value.
