I've been buying since 0188 and will continue.  There's about 150k XMR available cheap now.  That won't last long.  This is the biggest shake-out in history.  Since 1/2015 any how.

In other speculations, who do you think will be the next U.S. president, Kaine or Pence?

I'm still hopeful/delusional that the price will come back to me near the 130 level, so far it looks like I may have missed the bus,

In the speculators side show of the US election, my money is on trump, in a landslide.

Your point is taken however, pence will be like the chief of operations. Trump might be the face of the organization, but pence will be behind the wheel.

Did you pull that trigger yet? How low can we go as chuck d says?  Grin

Me? No not yet, although this doesn't seem like a bad spot

Agreed. The crazy part to me is that the depth chart never changes. Always way more buyers than sellers, yet constant dumping.

Do you think all the newbies who bought at the ATH are now dumping at a loss? This coin is awesome, it's the best rollercoaster ever, I feel like a bitcoiner did back in 2010-11 etc. Cheesy

Someone with significant resources has a bot playing the book like an instrument.  Earlier aminorex guessed that 95% of the book belonged to this entity.  Wouldn't surprise me.  I've been watching this market for over 2 years, and never seen such precise control as the last few weeks.  Maybe just better bots, I dunno.  Either massive accumulation, or the accumulation was done earlier, and now it's a divestment game.  I'm not finished accumulating, but I'd rather be forced to buy at higher levels than drag down much further.  It's damaging to jack it around so much.

While I don't usually agree with "single actor" theories and whale worship, I have to admit this is now a very different and clearly manipulated market.  Like yourself I've watched the charts for years now and used to participate on at least weekly basis - it was so easy to make a little profit and TA was valid.

Now it just seems to be a sequence of bull and bear traps constructed to accumulate moar coins.

I don't know if its damaging, its just appealing to a different kind of punter (the gambling day trader) at present; as you say 'someone with significant resources', so unless their intentions are hostile, you'd imagine they have the self-awareness to understand the impact of their actions and change those actions when required.

But that could be me projecting.

I think it was more of a letdown effect to new investors and users because they expected an official GUI wallet already and there was not.... I'm pretty sure once it arrives, all these people who sold out at any point in the past will really regret it, but that's just my .02 xmr

I see it's back on the upswing atm - 0.01558023 BTC

Agree. I've seen that sentiment as well, a lot of newcomers not trusting the devs as well, thinking XMR is simply a common P&D coin. So in the end, there shall be FOMO.

In the end, in the beginning, in the middle - there's enough FOMO to go around  Grin

Glad I sold my stash when I did. This was a solid pump and dump for sure. Thinking we have not found the bottom quite yet....looking to buy back in for longer term. Held my XMR for a year last time  Tongue

I dumped a lot of BTC at 1k a few years back...no regrets here. Buying and never selling at obvious pumps = less coins... I could easily buy a lot more XMR now if I wanted from the profits.

Even if Monero's time is not now, it will come. The Bitcoin fungibility issue is not going to go away. All that it will take is the FBI declaring that such-and-such bitcoins have been used in a drug transaction and are now forfeit. Of course the authorities have no way to seize them but this would effectively keep these bitcoins off the exchanges and nobody would want them.

Monero would seem to be the front runner to replace Bitcoin as it does everything Bitcoin does and eliminates the fungibility issue.

Also we have no Blocksize issues :p

Yes. I believe the success of XMR depends on its acceptance. Since the acceptance is decreasing and the price is falling for days, i go for short.

In my opinion this is an extremely dangerous time to go short.. but you might look like a genius in a couple weeks... who knows?

Acceptance is not decreasing, it is just beginning and there is lots of room for growth.

I totally agree to you. I dont fight against anyone here. I just share my thoughts and for the moment i think for us as a collective that short is better. I mean we are here like ~10 active people. We dont dominate the market so we can help us cause we dont play against each other here.

If you stop "SHarIng your Thoughts" for a while maybe you could finish that 2-day-job java GUI you said you could do.

I think possible that the majority believe in the overall drop and then begin a sharp increase, that is not obvious to the majority holders.

A new sell wall has been lurking today and is clear manipulation with the intent to purchase XMR at the lowest price possible.  Fear and fud is near the highest levels and shorts are staying mostly out of this since they also believe that a sharp increase will follow this price depression.
