I am certainly interested to know how your recollection of the Chinese uptake of LTC in 2013 differs from my statement, which was a fairly weak one, i.e. does not place strong constraints upon the set of consistent facts.
I notice that despite BTCUSD rising, XMRBTC has been rising today. In "alt" coins, typically the opposite would be true. I speculate that this correlation will become persistent, and that XMR will behave like a high-beta version of BTC. I.e. when BTCUSD rises, XMRUSD will rise even more, on average. This should continue for a few years. I suspect the beta will be asymmetric, however.

XMR is going to be suppressed for the masses and embraced by the party princes in China. I doubt we will ever see a Huobi-style pump from PRC punters, but the big money...that is going to creep up on you and slingshot you to the moon when you least expect it. I like your post. It is not bearish at all since you did not say you are bullish on Monero. Just told some facts mixed with some speculation.
Could someone point me in the direction of any facts in Aminorex's post other than the final sentence -- and even that is not quite true to the circumstances as I recall them surrounding LTC's rise to $50.
I'm especially interested in the sentence in bold because if this has any factual basis Aminorex is a member of the Chinese ruling cabal.

It appears our suspicions are confirmed! Atleast some amount of the bitcoin rally is being caused by someone buying bitcoin as a gateway into monero.
Not bought, it was a small win at poker. All poker winnings go to Monero regardless of the price. Haven't bought btc in a month also because of neglected expenses although I have converted some of what I had into Monero during that time.

Oh, I'm not waiting to buy. My bags are full, sitting at the launch pad. I'm only 'waiting' because I need to keep tabs on my margin long.
