If Monero passes Dash in price, then the drinks are on me  Grin

I only drink vintage champagne... ;-)

for humor's sake, not saying i'd really do it, but i'd totally drink a shoot of kurious' urine after kurious has drank 24 h of only vintage champagne if the price ever hits the current mc of eth.  Roll Eyes

You know we're trading over 8,000 BTC worth of Monero the past hour... and that is at Polo alone!

This feels odd - that was a run with steam.

Polo jitters and then a dump...   Hmm.

I hope normal service will resume ASAP.

ATH is not broken without a breather. I give 50%+ odds that it will be broken though. And remember that the rise is logarithmic, we are not going to 0.025 or 0.030 but 0.040 before the next plateau.

It is important to realize which rules apply. I am seeing a lot of late 2010 here.

I would not buy before first minor support about 0173.  0165-0168 is the first major support area i think.

It would be nice to get above ETH today.  Move it on up...  Keep climbing.

Anyone here participate in any good Monero slack channels? Or any crypto Slacks with XMR following? Slightly off topic because I'm interested in more than just price/trading commentary.

Edit .018  Shocked Huh Shocked

Edit 2: AND Polo crash?

yeah it froze...  Hasn't helped.   Buy the dip though? Wink

The goal of a clever accumulator here would be to prevent a new ATH.  That can lead to a significant pull-back, and cheaper coins.

EDIT: And yes, this dude is pretty sly.

That is mostly likely to happen at .002022 XMRBTC, which could take minutes, hours, days or weeks, AFAICT.  My central tendency estimate is 24 hours, but the error bars are "yuuuge", as nanobrain might say.  Bias that towards the hours side.

.. Approaching ..

By the time you say that stuff, I see it in my rear-view mirror.

Other topical thoughts:

Right now I am thinking about how to arrange to have lots of BTC on the exchange in Jan - Apr time frame, when U.S. profit-takers will be hard-pressed to cover tax bills.

I think what we have here is a growing concentration of XMR in financial centers:  London, New York.  Not the ideal form of redistribution.

speculators speculating to buy XMR i have one advice: the price will always seem too high - that is the illusion.
for some ofcourse it seems too low atm. some people buying into monero at 1-2 usd thought the price is already too much. now it's 9.50. it's all speculative.

Look at BTC. Seems rediculously high to pay about 570usd imaginary numbers into other imaginary numbers. It's all relative.

It will get really hard to buy XMR without moving the market during runs, so when you see liquidity, just hit it, and never-mind the price.  Eventually liquidity will rush back in, because profit taking.  But who knows where the price will be by then?  Not I.  Could be higher, could be lower, could be much, much higher.

Don't ever buy more than you can tolerate losing.  But buy every last XMR that you can tolerate losing.

150k buys in 15 minutes.  Bids?  Unaffected  Grin

Very impressive!  Wink

Another 125K to ATH, so I won't get excited, as it will likely take more than one push to get there.  But... I'm excited  Cheesy

I remember Bitcoin at .50 and then $1 and I almost bought but didn't see an easy way in.
Looking at Monero now, imagine Bitcoin at roughly $9.

Now, I'm sure Bitcoin is going to be at $10,000 in a few short years. And in the same way, I can imagine Monero going to $100 in that same time.
Well, just checked that is a 17:11 ration in favor of Bitcoin but I get the feeling Monero will outperform in the coming months.  Cheesy (Round numbers)... And she, I'm sure
is gonna be put to the test by those not wanting competition (you can imagine), State Actors, hackers, etc. With value comes attacks.

Gonna be an interesting ride.

Quite - still an exciting time to be in crypto. If the whole market flips to bull mode - the reaction will be (just like last time) just beyond the expectations of current advocates. Which would create a nosebleed aggregate crypto market cap. $XXX billion seems just ridiculous enough in the next 2-5 years
