I think Monero is very promising and I put my money where my mouth is.
But this thread is an echo chamber populated with a mix of starry-eyed evangelists, and the odd troll here and there.

In response to Altitude, who wants to know when to buy, I'm going to assume you're young.
I'm not young.  I am retired. I have decades of experience, and made plenty of mistakes along the line financial and otherwise.
My advice:  unless you're a master trader wirh complete emotional detachement, find a strategy you can stick with.  In the best case scenario, the discipline involved will keep you from making short-term emotional decisions.  You may need a long view of decades, but I get the impression from your admittedly brief post that your horizon is pretty short.

I would suggest reading up on value averaging (not dollar cost averaging).  If you think it can work for you, then apply it.  By all means, apply it flexibly, not by rote. Run simulations of different scenarios.  Just working out the performance of a particular investment strategy by simulating its returns in different market scenarios (e.g. various levels of volatility and different returns over the long run) will distance you from the emotional side of thinking and put you on much firmer footing for the making of investment decisions.
I suggested value averaging because I like it, and it is designed for long investing horizons.

My wannabe witty bananas speculation:

"From what we see in the frescoes and paintings found at the Palace of Knossos, there are no hints of violence or death. The bull was actually a sacred animal and was never to be killed or tortured in any way."

Looks like a bull goring one crypto on the left and kicking another in the nuts, on the right.  Cheesy

Yeah, like only skinny white guys can be crypto, right?  GTFOLOL

A bull having an orgy with three of his muses from Lesbos.

That´s a visionary tale of the fate of some XMRs hodlers.

The guy was an artist

Is now a good time to buy XMR or do you guys think it will come down some and offer a better entry.

I suggest you seek professional financial advice from someone licensed to do such a thing.

I would wait till it comes down to at least 0.003, but I'm pretty much always wrong...

That would be pretty unlikely unless btcusd approached 9³.  In which case it would be far less unlikely.

If we can crack 400k, that would be something......

My guess is that each one of these spikes up to .0395 are new Monero holders.

Organic growth man, it feels good.

i will say growth has been incredible the past couple weeks.

having no day job (outside of managing my investment fund & helping others)
has given me ample time to work my mailing list.  interest has been incredible.
even been getting calls from friends i had yet to reach out to.  guess news travels fast these days

time will tell if everyone is interested because its what I'm doing as a 6 foot 2 inch golden boy
that can normally check his ego at the door or because monero is a black swan with superior technology.

time will tell Smiley

You know what's crazy?  The other day, if someone wanted to market buy 1% of all initial Monero, they could have acquired 184k Monero and the price would have only increased to about 450k satoshi.

Now they practically can't even do that.  The price would increase to nearly 900k satoshi if they tried.

But...this is not a static market. What is true now is not necessarily true tomorrow.

I like the take it as it comes approach. Focus on the development side and economy side rather than charts and prices. Kind of like a 90/10 split 90% economy/dev focus/reading/etc, 10% glue my eyeballs to the chart screen.

Keep what's important, and know who's your friend

@TC, if you have to pay someone to talk positively about your coin of choice, you are doing it wrong.

If you expect us to respect your opinion because you talk positively about xmr (every now and then), you are thinking about it wrong.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it

I wish I got paid by him (however I think we should start paying him for the publicity).
The number of potential viewers are probably 100 times the Monero community (he has almost 1000 followers these days and growing).
I am sure vloggers and bloggers who have a good subscriber basis are something Monero needs for marketing since they tell the good stuff to average people and will take the interest of the coin from the level of geeks to the level of early masses.

LOL...

you were saying that monero community consist of only 10 ppl Huh   Cheesy

Actually there are 4.

TrueCryptonaire, primer-, Donald Trump and Donald Duck.

The level of humiliation goes up just before the drop. Happened also many times in the past.

The truth is ... the humiliaton is the same as always... we just don´t like you. But that burden you brought onto yourself with so much nonsense in the past.

To be honest, I think it has nothing to do with personalities (I know nobody from here personally).
Therefore, if you humiliate the people posting bullish things it is simply a sign you have sold your coins and want to discourage the bullish talk so that your short position will be covered in a profitable manner.

This is a example of your one dimensional thinking.
