Shit its all just a river of red, why did I look? Grin

Yup. So much for a recession to be good for crypto. We will first see a real mess. It will be interesting year to come. I hope everyone have a hobby to not look at charts to much.

I keep telling my friends that it's all interrelated at the moment. Crypto is not yet removed from fiat, how can it be when almost all new crypto projects raise money in fiat and then all is dumped for fiat right? So if economy is bad, nobody wants to buy crypto.

Definitely no more looking at charts for a long time now. Learned my lesson already!

The greatest bullish sign for the long haul in XMR is the nature of the network. The nature of the network (early bitcoiners and well-associated individuals) is something which makes the coin effective over the long haul. Sure we have unpredictability for short-pull however the genuine BagHodlerstm are for the whole deal and will end up rich if this succeeds (the chances for progress is shockingly high for this situation).

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it

I have been pleased overall with the altpocalypse, especially with the comparative resilience of Monero, but if bitcoin ignites in the midst of global financial turmoil we will see it drag the quality alts up with it. The big players understand the value proposition of xmr.  The next 9-12 months might be like 2016-17 (early), or like something the world has never seen before.

Either way... We will survive.

I can't argue with this.

^  Lol.  You guys still watch that?  I prolly watch three episodes and quit.  I mean the info is decent but it's not really that well made tbh.  Maybe it's the way it's edited...  Somehow it just feels something's off or something, dunno...

So recently we have been seeing a seriously strong correlation between BTC and XMR (and LTC?) and against alts.

BTC /XMR/LTC move up... Other alts move down.

BTC tanks, XMR and LTC move with it... other alts move up.

Magical Crypto Friends, indeed

Don't worry, I doubt there is anyone here who hasn't sold or bought at the wrong time - or not done it at the right time - and kicked themselves later (with hindsight).

We could all have sold at 0.34+  and bought back four times as much, if we'd had a crystal ball and a hell of a lot of patience!

Anyone who has the strength to admit a failure once in a while has more credibility in my eyes than those who proclaim their winnings every time.

In that case I am highly credible!!! Grin

Thank you for the update Febo,,, I did not quite understand everything and I never really have, although I think the 2-3 years estimate is a good one for practical terms. And in fact we will probably end up doing it faster, but I feel mostly will depends on the existing network of users.

Looking up Monero village now!

What is important to understand is that it will make transactions smaller and faster, so transaction fees even lower.   Oh and of course make transactions link harder.

Thats never a bad thing, the last transactions I did cost me about 2 cents and were completed so fast I didn't even know how long they took.

Yesterdays last talk was of Sarang and he mostly talked of future. It had bad audio first half but apparently there is another camera and when they will sort talks in separate videos it will be fine.

Anyway CLSAG will be most likely in spring upgrade. Then the next upgrade will be one of the rest. Research paper of most of them come out only few months ago. So for the one we will decide it will take 2-3 years to implement. And maybe something else might come around.

It's a long hill to climb, but I would really like to see XMR overtake BSV in marketcap.

Nearly inevitable, the only issue is timing (for the impatient).

Do you put more weight on XMR becoming more valuable or BSV becoming more fraudu... ehem less valuable?

Both more or less equally.

So it looks good right now guys had a sell yesterday @8140 and cancelled it just in time. Smiley

Well shit.

Huey, you're almost as bad as those people who line up at the deli counter to buy lotto tickets.

It's amusing that I hit the nail on the head the day before and then cancelled just in time to stop it from hitting and then after it did it tanked. Didn't think I had to explain that. ;P

As I was just selling a few coins to have something available in BTC it wasn't a big deal. Just thought I'd share. Smiley
