445 BTC buy wall @XMR isnt this just confirmation were going to the moon  Tongue

Walls are not reliable.

However, the individual who put it there has the capability to moon us if he so desires.

Putting it close to market price is a new one...

Yeah, that was a bit surprising.

Are there are no more takers?  Untouched for 3 hours.

This is the most epic wall-based drama since the Battle for Castle Black!   Cool

This person must be a millionaire (or Pegasus level crazy about XMR).

Are you sure you want another Pegasus

another 15.000 XMR dumped into lol still holding

EDIT: 90BTC dumped into the wall another millionaire joining XMR?

The other purpose (besides fun) is to force up bids, in order to offload the asset.  Occasionally your wall buys, but for the most part, you sell above the wall, assuming there are other bidders, in sufficient quantity to meet demand.  Worst case, you end up with full bags at the wall price.  Win - Win  Cheesy

It will also has the potential to shake out some dumpers, and instigate a few shorts , making the ensuing (assuming) rise more powerful.  Waiting.  Watching.

Exactly what happened, look at the data here:

Seems like a real buyer.  This is pretty great news imo.  Someone wants to buy a lot of XMR for whom buying $180,000 of XMR is not only possible, but a reasonable allocation of their wealth.  This person must be a millionaire (or Pegasus level crazy about XMR).

my predictions have good odds to make actually some real money.

Can you elaborate? This can be a confusing statement when discussing cryptocurrencies. Do you consider fiat to be money?

If with your predictions you managed to get more XMR against a heavier declined fiat price, did you make money? Or if the fiat price of your XMR increased but decreased more against BTC, did you make money?

I should have had been more specific: money here is crypto (XMR or BTC). Not fiat in this case, I try to keep fiat and crypto separate.
I have increased my networth with swing trading XMR-BTC pair. Actually trading it has been the only way to make money with it. Investing has been pretty bad (unless you did not initially buy at 0.001-0.002 levels).
I have made some bad calls obviously but it is enough 51 % of calls are accurate and in case of inaccuracy you cut the loss as fast as possible and when the call is right, let the profit run long enough.

The money I have been making by trading has been used acquiring Monero. Now there is an opportunity to lend XMR to others so I do not need to take too much risk of the fluctuations but still I am able to make money so I do not have an urgency to play pump and dump game also from that matter. And when there will be more opportunities to lend XMR with collateral and high rates, I am willing to employ part of my coins into that purpose, I like to rake/squeeze as many XMR as possible and hold them tight. I do not have any need to spend those coins, currently I am making more than enough in fiat so I do not need to sell my cryptos but I can accumulate more (prefertably by lending/investing).

Would you teach your trading knowledge and skill ? Huh

Selling XMR to buy back lower doesn't actually generate additional money (fiat wise). For example, if you sold 100 XMR at 1$ and bought 200 back at 0.50$ the total dollar value of your holdings would still be the same. Alternatively, one can use 50$ to buy back the same amount sold and use the additional 50$ for other opportunities. However, not selling in aforementioned situation will almost certainly generate opportunity costs and a decline in total value of holdings.

The only way to make additional money (fiat wise) on a declining price is shorting the asset (which is Monero in this case).

You make the money by having more Monero when it goes back up again.

You can't be sure it goes back up though.
