Government type devices mining Monero in their spare power to recoup costs is massive.

They don't want their drones earning on the transparent bitcoin chain, it might even open up an attack vector to the device?

Monero security is perfect here!

Exciting.

Ah yes, this kind of trolling reminds me of BCT around 5 years ago when it used to be so fun here in the alts section.  I remember somebody posting a really skinny Russian soldier doing kettle bells and it was supposed to be VB.  Lololol.  It was hilarious at the time.

This coin. It just goes sideways.
Until you look away one day. Then it goes to 0.03 Roll Eyes

The thing about Monero is... it is one of the only coins that actually does something bitcoin doesn't.  At least something big and fundamental.  Everything is obscured on layer one, AND cryptographically verifiable.  That is worth a little something.  Sometimes 01x... sometimes .03.  Eventually something like .1

Exactly. I don't think a majority of "informed" folks in crypto, and who have invested some of their own wealth in crypto would say Monero does 1% as good of a job at being a crypto-currency than Bitcoin

Well I'm still high on Monero. Been liking what I've seen from their development side. Fork went great and cryptonightR has been good so far. Might stop mining soon since its summer but so far, I'm still managing to make a small profit. The price going up is kinda incentivizing me to keep mining for longer which I might just do. I have a tent set up that works well for what I have. I'm kinda excited about the switch to randomX, so I been browsing around ebay for server cpus. Might just go with new amd cpus but need to sell my video cards first for that. I also in the believe that the coin will keep going up by the end of the year. If not then it will eventually. This coin in my eyes is the best of all the privacy coins and has an opportunity to play an important role in this world that is ever increasingly taking our privacy away. It needs to position itself to seize the opportunity when it comes.

People buy XMR with bitcoins, not dollars.  That chart isn't so cheerful.

First of all, XMR has plenty of of USD transactions. Here are the two "reputable" exchanges that offer USD pairs:

Kraken XMR/USD volume: $536,000
Kraken XMR/XBT volume: $830,000

Bitfinex XMR/USD volume: $846,000
Bitfinex XMR/BTC volume: $557,000

And yes, there's Binance and other reputable non-USD exchanges that do millions in BTC volume, but you have no idea how much of those trades are real.

Secondly, just because more people trade with BTC, that doesn't mean they're not watching USD charts or are unaware of the USD price.

That is completely true, I currently am only trading in USD, USDT and a very small amount in BTC basically because, I don't want to lose the BTC I have
and it is still important to me to increase my USD networth! I only use Tether for short amounts of time, as a replacement for USD.

The market has rebounded higher after a seven days positive move, bringing the current trading price to $96. The bigger picture is clearly revealed on the daily RSI; following an upward movement after testing the 50 level. We can now say the buyers are gaining control of the market. The next key resistance for the bulls lies at $105 and $110 levels.

Monero has shown some positive climb in the past seven days after reversing from $83, where the lower channel lies. Now testing an important level at $96 which could propel the price to $100 and $105 resistance if the market can further the bullish pressure. A price rejection, however, could backtrace the market back to $88 and $83 supports.

Yup. after 6 months of absence the $100 Monero parties will start again.

I am thinking of ~2000+ by the end of the year  Wink

That is definitely optimistic Smiley

The pruned blockchain takes 21.3 GB and should be adding around 700 MB/month.

Considering that I'm pretty sure nobody is doing wash trading or even 'legitimate HFT' on bisq since it is slow clunky and expensive, I'd say the $1 million/day volume is pretty damn good. I don't know where that would rank relative to other coins if it were possible to subtract out the nonsense that happens in most crypto markets, but pretty damn high would be my guess, and that ignores all XMR volume on centralized exchanges, some of which might be legitimate.
