No, DASH is pumped to look better at end of year. So it will look it gained this much % in 2015.
It is easy fro them to do it with premined bag. With Monero you best know how much sweat is to move it a bit.

Temporary insanity. Eventually the coin with solid cryptography will win over the hearts and minds of users worldwide.

hello world

yes i agree, compared to other coins with similiar or even higher market cap monero takes a lot to move. its good like that.

anyone watching the big line down from march top until now? it should break soon, personllay i expect a heavy move in the next 2 weeks, maybe around~30-50%. i hope it goes up ofc  Smiley

also: after 3d macd cross for some time now, weekly macd might cross soon. many altcoins look like this, some are ahead, some behind. dont know if we really can expect a rally that affects many many coins, not only xmr, but we will see

It is interesting to note that the two big XMR rallies in June 2014 and March 2015 happened shortly after DASH rises.  Not sure what it means, but just saying.

DASH is now back to where it was before the btc pump, monero soon to go below .001...

Conspiracy theory , monero developers (ponny, smooth) are on someone's payroll to stagnate development, postpone the release of updates submitted by others for as long as they can.

0.0097 XBT has been an area of resistance then support then resistance for Dash going back to September 2014 if not earlier. If it is not broken on the upside it will simply mean more resistance in this area. What is significant is that there has been no impact at all on the price of XMR unlike what happened in March of this year when a sudden drop in the price of Dash led to an immediate rise in the price of XMR. My take is that the price of XMR will be driven by its own fundamentals rather than what happens with Dash.

That's some serious pump for dash with high volume , lets see how much of that goes into new masternodes.

Thats the brilliant part of the dash scam.  So much liquidity is locked in masternodes and not available for trading on exchanges that it drastically reduces downward pressure on price.

Hopefully we can manage to get back into that area.

Well,  if anyone actually starts using d I can't imagine it will take very long to clarify the quality of its privacy assurances, and their socio-contextual epistemics.

No it isn't, DASH was floating between 0.01 and 0.011 before the BTC run-up. The XMR/DASH has been relatively stable over time, floating somewhere between 1:5 - 1:6. However, seems to be breaking out a bit currently. Hopefully we can manage to get back into that area.

Xmr is certainly a poor vehicle for speculation lately, as its value is remarkably stable.  This only improves its qualifications as a transactional medium and store of value, where its long term value proposition lies.

The bolded part of your quote makes me happy. Merchant adoption and wider use is my focus right now. I suspect 0.9 will help with both of these goals

Any idea when 0.9 might come out

The last estimate/guess I heard of was Mid January:

How do you do that, do you buy futures?

Futures, swaps, futures options or swap options are all feasible and each has its place.  In this case, I prefer a complex ratio option on the futures, to gain on both premium and speculation, but YMMV.  If you wish to start speculating on soft commodities, I suggest Interactive Brokers for U.S. / U.K. punters.  $10k will open a U.S. futures speculation account, but 30k is easier to work with.  When starting I suggest no more than 2x leverage, and no option trades, until you are have endured one or two adverse 5 sigma moves.  Which, counter-intuitively, should not take but a few months, given current market stresses, and the totally broken state of the primary global market risk measures (interest rates). If you are new to this, keep in mind that everything about the system is designed to take your money.  You will be a guppy amongst the sharks, until you can grow some teeth.  Then you will be a teeny, tiny little shark, amongst the great whites.

Up from 467 to 475½ now, intraday.  I will scale down a bit at 480, then let the rest of my exposure ride for a week or two, if the monkey is right.
