I'm pissed I didn't have any BTC avail when the dump hit. Sad still waiting on fucking coinbase slow train to hell.

I haven't used them but I hear Circle is very fast once it's set up.

Given the current volume we could be going down soon as long as there isn't any concrete news.

What exactly do you mean by what's bold above? What news are you talking about?

Such as the release of 0.9

I know I know it's coming soon  Grin Grin

We can speculate whether it will make a difference in the short term but without it we ain't going anywhere.

I dont think it will make any significant difference. I compiled yesterday from github for linux, and I only got irritated as it started downloading blockchain again. Since I was not in a mood of downloading 6 GBs (?) of blockchain again, chose to stick with 0.8.8 version for now.

There are several methods to convert the existing blockchain.

I finally downloaded GingerAle's windows ~0.9 binary yesterday.  I don't know when he created it and therefore how up to date it is vs what's now available.  I started to sync from scratch which was very fast with my minimal computer.  I had to leave midway and it seemed it would only take an hour.  When I came back it was stuck at 270 blocks behind.  When I tried to exit it said it had stopped but nothing else happened.  So I closed the daemon with nothing saved.

Wait, is this the speculation thread Huh Grin

So I continue to wait for the 0.9 release.  I remember last October deciding not to upgrade my memory because there was discussion that the database would be ready around the end that year.  At least now we actually have a database.

Anyway I just lowered my bids.

bummer. for the record, the link in my sig is not *my* win64 beta binaries, they were the ones released for testing.

That would be useful. Have any link or info how to do it?

Ask on the main thread or the monero forum. I know there is a converter and also export and import utilities. I don't remember the details of how to use them nor do I know of a guide, but I'm sure other people do.

As bitcoin rises, most (if not all alts), will fall.

This cycle has happened several times with XMR, LTC, DASH.

If bitcoin breaks to the upside expect lower prices all around (at least in the medium/short term).

XMR significantly differs from most alts, so perhaps we could differ wrt price as well. Only time will tell though. I've personally never understood why you would dump XMR if BTC rises, if the XMR/BTC pair remains stable the value of your XMR measured in fiat terms rises as well.

lol Cheesy

I can feel most of you guys are genuine good people. And the pattern of the trolls is coming after the best and most prolific posters and troll them out of bitcointalk, especially those who point out the scams, it should be obvious by now.

Someone pointed it out to me that if you look on

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/poloniex/xmrbtc

Monero will possibly close with the lowest daily volume in over a year on Poloniex.

wooow there are 3 sherlock holmes here(but they don't have a proof). @americanpegasus, @onemorexmr and @opennux... congratulations  guys but you are all wrong Grin But it s ok for me coz I 've already knew that monero community don't have a brain hohoh Cheesy If i were you guys i would do something to save Monero fall instead of Trolling.

If I were you I would try to comprehend that one persons actions do not represent that of an entire community. I'm not trolling.

Trolling to the dash community (at least the ones I've encountered) is equivalent to disagreeing on a topic.

Mature people can disagree and still stay sane.

Immature people can't stay sane while disagreeing.

@olcaytu2005, price of Monero is not the equivalent of having a brain.

Price != Brain. It seems you are trying to equate the two...apples and oranges brother.  Smiley

Trying to piss people off and then playing the victim when they actually do is trolling imo.

Proof or you are just "trolling".

See what I did there?

Yeah you are right. but XMR community have many trolls (icebreaker, smoothie etc.) . icebreaker and smoothie are embarrassment to the community. They dont help the XMR, they just fud other coins.
I don't mind any crypto currency besides Bitcoin. I am just a day trader. You have to put a collor on your legendary dogs.

With DASH crashing and burning the DASH trolls are really coming out of the woodwork.

woah I just seeing this now, DASH is crashing bad thats why so many attacks on Monero, smooth and AEON.

are you blind? cant you see DASH and MONERO crashing together. Do you know why? No you dont know why. Coz you don't have brain to think. I dont mind monero or dash or aeon or another shitcoin. But we have to f.ck @icebreaker, @adamwhite and @smoothie because they manipulate our minds.

Smoothie is good people, but I agree having ICE does make it look bad. Everything that guy touches turns into crap...Hashfast/IceDrill. That being said I do hold a small amount of XMR and no Dark/Dash. I think XMR has a chance to get some more users in the long run.

Your concern about our exposure of Dash, etc's scamminess and fraud is duly noted.

The thing about high risk/reward ventures is that most of them do not pan out.  You may begin to understand that when you're older.

My shares in Gamma did fine (eventually).  And I have BTC/XMR, so quick, sell all of yours since they're going to turn "into crap."

Oh wait, you're not even trying to be logical, just shitposting "Boo-hoo, I don't like ICE, waaah" poutrage.   Cheesy

Good news everyone  Cheesy
I wrote one article to an popular Portuguese blog and received an email today informing me that it will be published in the next days...
The blog in question is http://www.pplware.com , it's full of people interested in techy things, but a lot of them don't know how crypto currencies work, so I tried to explain everything (with some bitcoin references too) I have no idea what would be the reaction, but I hope there's one at least Smiley
To people speaking Portuguese out there, if you can help me answering the possible questions it would be nice Smiley

Is your blog that is getting published in any way related to Monero or Cryptonote?

With DASH crashing and burning the DASH trolls are really coming out of the woodwork.

I dont think you are a good analyzer . DASH and MONERO crashing together mate because of these dogs(adamwhite, icebreaker, smoothie and others) not trolls. By disparage someone else's coin, cannot glorify his own coin. But they dont have a brain to comprehend this.

Where have we heard this before? ^

Blaming users for the price crash because they disagree?. Wasn't there some list of reasons why people think the price of their coin goes down?
