Am I in the minority as someone who has bothered to actually read all the topics about Monero on bitcoin talk, and have downloaded the latest source and compiled it?
It's amazing how many people out there don't do any due diligence before making investments... I had to learn this the hard way in years past.
It's one thing to say, "I am into Monero because there is a lot of good buzz and people I trust like it."
It's another to be able to say, "I've given the whole project a thorough look over in all respects and even though I don't understand every bit of code, I can't find any discrepancies and it looks like it has amazing potential."
Bold my emphasis. That is the smart way to invest. By the way did you run benchmarks against the official binaries or was your computer not capable of running the official binaries?
