I would love to see XMR added to BTC-e.

Looks like it may get on Cryptsy first
https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes

It's been up for vote for almost a day and it is up to 4th with 8561 as of this moment.

I don't care about cryptsy, we need XMR/USD and XMR/EUR pair at BTC-e Wink
That will be HUGE

A XMR/BTC pair so start with would already be huge. I think BTC-e is very interested in the anonymity Monero provides. Don't we have some russian speaking members? Tongue

Are we ready for HUGE?

Personally I think we're not and organic growth would be better. I didn't say they should add it now, but maybe if they hear about it more often they will do some research into Monero themselves. But that's pure hypothetical.

Let's try to keep posts on this "discussion about speculation" thread a bit more substantive than the last two, so I don't have to resort to my evil Hilter moderation powers

BTC-E is who we need.

And we don't need to spam the shit out of him via twitter.  We need somebody with personal contact to invite him to Risto's mansion for cigars.  Or have Risto visit him/them.

THIS.

That biggest Monero rally was 100% just because of expectations of adding to Mintpal. But Expectations was totally false, since Mintpal users were not ready for Monero. At that time (last week before adding), was volume 500-1000 BTC daily on Poloniex, and most people expected that on Mintpal volume will be x3. But as we all saw it happened Mintpal volume was 5% of daily Monero volume on all exchanges together.

I doubt it had anything to do with Mintpal being ready or not. It has a lot to do with it being the case that once you are on one exchange with good volume, and maybe a few other exchanges for redundancy, more exchanges simply don't matter at all. The trading will stay where the volume is, unless given a good reason to move.

The Mintpal pump was exactly that, a pump driven by hype and fueled by limited supply, but only very temporarily demand. The eventual result was predictable. (I sold quite a bit on the way up, and well above current prices, but didn't quite call the top correctly.)

Hello Nekomata,

Thank you for introducing us to this coin!

I have submitted your coin to our development team who will review it
to see if it meets our requirements for addition to the Cryptsy exchange.

If there is anything else we can assist you with, please let us know.

I also asked BitJohn about it. Altough he didn't respond, maybe he notified the others about it!

Markets Added:   AERO/BTC, CKC/BTC, OPAL/BTC all markets now live.

What about adding some of the CryptoNote coins? What's your stance on that?

EDIT: Voting list here: https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes/

Cryptsy has it pretty far down the list at the moment, but I gave it a vote.
It doesn't yet allow for paid votes.
(5 BTC worth of votes would put anything at #1)

We're already at +- 2600 votes after a few hours, pretty impressive since these are not paid votes. Maybe Nekomata could contact them and ask them to add an adress for paid votes? The advantage of that is that people who aren't member of cryptsy can also vote (maybe they would become a member if cryptsy added monero).

Your logic doesn't make sense. The ~0.002 to ~0.0095 rally happened on the lead up to MP adoption. As standard with new exchange adoption the rally ended only after XMR went live on MP. So if you're implying this is a convenient coincidence then how can you use the phrase: "No - Remember MintPal"....? How are you able to extract which part of the rally is a co-incidence and which part of the rally belongs to MP adoption? More importantly, what would you have liked to have happen to satisfy a belief that MintPal was indeed the reason for the rally. If you're saying that a rally of five times magnitude isn't enough to demonstrate 'new exchange syndrome' then what kind of magnitude would you prefer, and is it realistically in keeping with data of other coins that also have experienced 'new exchange syndrome'  - many of which never experience anything close to 5 times magnitude. Your logic is baffling, frankly.
