I think we are at an ATH right now?

I particularly like the fact that it is moving without correlation to BTC and other cryptos, and rather based on the news for the project itself. For me it shows that it is not just an speculative asset, but rather, a project with strong fundamentals and insane potential.

As for the people here who bought at 25 cents, boy, I hate and envy you !!   Grin

CAD $96 $101 $110 pop a cork!is a new ATH.  Poloniex is a sea of green right now, monero still the most favored.

I did think we were about due:

Every now and then Monero suddenly rises sharply. Like the 2500% it increased in 2016. A lot of that around the end of August.  The past in no guide to the future, but Spring and the cusp of Autumn have often been rather propitious for the XMR price...

We do seem to have two massive lifts a year.

Boom!

Love to start the day with green candles....  Hello Monero, enjoyed your holiday?

Impressive week-end!
I'm curious now if this trend will continue or we'll see a correction, especially when America will wake up.
I wouldn't mind though to see it grow to 0.02 and beyond Smiley

Boom! XMR FTW

If $63 will hold until the end of the month, then we have a new floor at around $63!  Cool

With this RuffCT update XMR would indeed beat Zcash finally. Market is reacting positive, rumours around Bithumb again. Does anybody have a link to that?

Nobody is discussing the dev meeting notes from today?

Tim Ruffing has offered suggestions on improving Monero by using sublinear ring signatures + CT.
Knacc is going through the information and writing a Java implementation.
RuffCT GREATLY expands the ring signature sizes (100k+). "with a set-up like this, there should be no good reason to not simply sign every transaction with the top half of the blockchain every time"
"in a certain sense, this is like an alien came down and gifted us faster than light travel."

Do you guys understand what this means?  Shocked
I am bullish, very bullish.

Anonymint is obviously shilling for his own coin by dragging all of the competition through the mud. He's been doing it for years. What doesn't make sense is why he thinks attacking others is a more effective use of his time than building his own coin.

Because it's easier to tear down then create. He is self deluding himself that his time is well spent in this en-devour rather than doing the hard work of creating what he's been preaching which is the impossible.

Monero has been outted everywhere now. I'm afraid the future of monero is grim at best. Time to sell.

Please link me to this so called "outted stuff" your spewing about. And don't to technical in you asertations as we're not that bright here.

I see what you did there.  Of course investing in XMR since it was 25c a pop means we are a little less intelligent and we just got lucky it rose over 2500% in 2016 and is set for massive DNM adoption, Soon™

I hope someone can help us with our inability to find the BEST COIN there is... Wink

Meh...  Who on earth wants financial privacy anyway?

TLDR?

Monero: Crouching tiger, hidden dragon.  Privacy is precious.

To me, it means that Monero is eliminating the last few advantages that Zcash has. With RuffCT, Monero's anonymity will be on par with Zcash, without any trusted setup, and without the risk of a centralized corporation that is 100% going to be compromised. No dev tax, no 100%+ yearly inflation, no need for multiple Gigabytes of RAM and minutes of CPU time to send a transaction. No backdoor loving founders/devs.

I am not a cryptographer but yes that is what I understand too.
This update would be a huge improvement and advantage over Zcash without the trusted setup.

Monero has been one of the most stable altcoins followed by litecoin.
Between all the aug1 mess and today, it has risen from $43 to $53 so we can say that monero will keep increasing in the followin months.
By the way, xmr is one of the best coins that exists nowadays, it has a lot of features that another altcoins doesnt have, it is the most anonymous coin.

Sagacious people are always welcome.

Monero is indeed steady as a store of value but it also develops and grows as its use case becomes obvious.  As Aminorex points out DNMs are in disarray just now, but only Monero makes sense for the next crop who will inevitably appear to fill that market gap.

Every now and then Monero suddenly rises sharply. Like the 2500% it increased in 2016. A lot of that around the end of August.  The past in no guide to the future, but Spring and the cusp of Autumn have often been rather propitious for the XMR price...

Edit: Aaaand we just sneaked over $55 in fiat terms. Sweet.
