fees are high as i see now... Smiley i did a test send to see how much i put 17XMR and the fees to send are 0.26 XMR ! meaning = 0.26 x current price of 67 euro = 17.42 euro Smiley

1. It depends. If you received a lot of low-value outputs then it will cost more. It is possible to send 17 XMR or more for much less than 0.26 XMR, even with the default fee (around 0.014 XMR is a typical fee on the network right now), if it isn't made up of a lot of small pieces.

2. Using the low priority fee setting the fee can be much lower, around 0.20 EUR, but the wait for confirmation will be longer during periods of high load.

@pönde moneroblocks and chainradar are both broken. xmrchain.net and minergate.com/blockchain/xmr/blocks appear to be working. Your own wallet was probably correct.

Thanks for the info...

Either the network is broken or polo is insolvent.

No coins have gotten out of there in around 4 hours. Wonder how that rush on their funds has affected them...

More likely their hot wallet is empty and needs to be refilled (but that doesn't rule out they could also be insolvent, I just have seen no real evidence of it)

The network is not broken, although there is a backlog of transactions.

The Monero train just went out for a far journey. Korean exchange Bithumb listed Monero. Koreans always owning the volume every time top solid coins are added.

And this jump is mainly from liquidity and speculation alone. I wait for the day when the "true" adoption will come. When most of the legal and illegal purchases will be carried on the Monero network as it is now for BTC I expect the price to raise up 10-100 times what it is now.

Yesterday I bought some coins
Newby here. It's time to sell or hold?

Can I ask how many xmr you have?

Thanks

Keep your coins in your wallet. Do not sell coins. Monero has good support in darknet. The price will definitely grow

+1 on that, was not long time before i wrote we are going double from the level we was and we not reached that yet... easy got 150$ minimum soon
This is why we should jump in as of now to monero, prices might still able to cling up even more later on.Maybe this would be the year of Monero which for those holders going back on previous years would really cherish the profits that they would gained for sure later on.

Quite unusual price movements from the slow steady growth that Monero has enjoyed for the past year. Not complaining just observing.

It's hard to believe this spike is just from being added to an exchange. Don't those people have VPN's to buy off other exchanges ?

Just look at what the Koreans did to the price of ETH when it was added in their exchanges and became mainstream.  Cool

So based on rumors the price pumps enormously... Can it go higher today or now it's settling down again?

So when it is actually added on the biggest exchange, then fresh money will flow in ?

Wow, Korean fomo on Monero! Great job on exchange listing at BitThumb. Anonymous transactions will someday be used by everyone who doesn't want to tracked by oppressive regimes.

Hodl your coins. This one could go past 100 up to 200 USD.
I do not own any XMR, lost them on a boating accident, the coins are now down deep in the ocean.
