There is ALWAYS a rather large group here at any moment that is accumulating Monero. And right now, these prices look like a bargain so, we'll set our bids somewhere below the current price and wait for others to dump into them. It seems to work most of the time.

Edit: I know I've picked up a few hundred more over the last day or so.

Development gives a shit for price and what anyone says. Monero is just getting more and more developers daily. And getting stronger at where most matter. As in that Ratatosk video was mention, at mechanic side.

Yes they stop it when they double pay out but they certainly do not when they short change people. I warned them a couple of weeks ago that their code had a bug and it is not just XMR. They have a bug in their trading platform that pays out a lower amount on a sell than what is submitted for a bid. It happens when there is a heavy trading on a coin. I was shortchanged by almost double of my ask. They have not responded to my ticket nor subsequent follow up. I refuse to use Polo anymore.

I suspect it happened to a lot of people but getting Polo to admit it may be hard. Mine shows up in their ledger as the wrong price and they will say it is what I sold it for but it is not. If they were honest with us they would look at the selling price at the time of the transaction and could see, at least in my case, the price it that was sold to me for was wrong. Don't want to get off topic with this but beware of Polo because something is broken.

Poloniex is updating their wallets. They do this periodically with every single coin. There is not a moment when one of coins is not under this maintenance.

I merely posted a link to a reddit thread. Why on earth would I want to read it aloud?

Poloniex is updating their wallets. They do this periodically with every single coin. There is not a moment when one of coins is not under this maintenance.

there is never nothing said. As i posted here few days was 11 coins withdrawals stopped. There is not a moment in time when Poloniex dont have one con withdrawals and deposits stopped. If they would announce all that announcement board would e spammed with only this. Usually they dont know till when it will be disabled, so nothing really to announce. When you go to withdrawal page you see all coins that you cant withdraw or deposit. So unless you withdrew right before withdrawals was disabled you just cant do anything wrong since you cant withdraw.

I am not aware of any specific reason why they would not be able to operate from their old chain db while waiting for the new scan to finish, but my surmise is that they want to perform their own iteration of the checks (already done by the core.team) to insure that there are.no.double spends on the chain as a result of the (now.fixed) small subgroup bug.
