DaFuq is goin' on today...?

Bitcoin Dominance Index just touched 51% and appears about to drop below half pretty soon, so the Altcoin Madness apparently is continuing?

We should call it Ripple madness.

LOL ripple made x60 in 2 months. Now need only x2 more to catch BTC. It looks like in June will be 10 times bigger then BTC Tongue

If coinmarketcap would show the correct count ripple is already above BTC.
Imagine only a fraction of this going into cool coins like Monero Smiley...

lol. don´t believe the hype.

In the very long run, i think anonymous currencies can not last. Not because of the evil government (well yes, but there is more), but because it is dangerous (hence the government bans it).
You will have computer viruses demanding XMR, you will get kidnappings requesting money via XMR, so it is anonymous. Terrorists trading freely, using XMR, being untraceable.

Sure you don't want to be spied on, but it brings a lot of negative things.

Just thought about leaving this with you, to chew, and think about what fully anonymous coins really bring.

I think we will have a bigger increase in price once it gets more user friendly. We have a GUI wallet but it's not intuitive yet for people without technical skills. Even for me I had to research a little how to receive funds from an exchange because the exchange gave a 64 char payid while the GUI wanted a 16 character one. This is probably some monero feature that got changed over time but until we get stability and easier user experience, I feel kind of like an early adopter now. And if price is already so high for early adopters.... then imagine if it becomes better known in the mainstream of crypto. that's just how I think.

Bearex, that's a valid point, but it's the same with cash. However, it's true we are moving to a cashless society. This is my biggest worry as well, but if monero will get banned for this reason, might as well ban Bitcoin as well because you can't know who owns a public key until they cash out. Apps like Mycelium even change the public key with each transaction now so it's harder to prove when money changes hands until it gets cashed out "in the real world"

I dont think transparent currencies cant be used.  Because what company will want that their opponent knows exactly how much they pay their workers? What company will want that everyone sees how much money their customers have and where they get it from?

All currencies will last, but only some will get used.

Let me add this for a PoV currency to last you need exactly 2 nodes, so not that big entry point.

But TODAY?  Sorting the Polo "Markets" box by percentage-change, for green numbers it's all obscure unknown names now... Ripple/Steem yeah okay but also there BitcoinDark, GameCredits, "Einsteinium"... WTF?

I agree except for GameCredits, they got a good thing going, I'm disappointed that I sold mine.

Anyways, my $ total is just dropping. I'm moved everything to XMR a few days ago (thank god I got out of LTC) but I'm afraid it will just keep going down. Not sure where to move my coins, I just keep them in XMR because I am most passionate about this coin. Although to be fair it has stayed right around 0160 for the past few days, it's just BtC that is changing, but the value is definitely going down.

What should I do? BTC hit below 50% today but all I see is red on most coins.

It's always when multiple people start posting stuff like this that Monero starts an upwards move. So good job, if only more people follow Cheesy
I'll help.

Help guyssss monero is lowering, should I sell?Huh

We have never seen such enthusiasm for trading blockchain tokens as we have in the past few months. Since January, we’ve seen an increase of more than 600% active traders online and regularly process 640% more transactions than we did merely 4 months ago.

Woow.  Shocked
I am so bullish on crypto, so bullish on XMR.

Me too but I got a personal gripe I want to vent...That pop in price last week happened a few minutes before I started a 7 hour flight. It was over when I landed and I couldn't make any moves. Erg! I would like to think I'd have taken some profit but then again, I probably would've held on too long. Anyhoo, I hope this bull market picks up steam FOR XMR again and gives us all more chances to collect...

It will, just gotta keep being patient...

Withdrawals are now working fine for me with no problems. Poloniex was just overloaded.

BUT my particular mix of crypto in my portfolio kinda has stopped going up now, last few days apparently, both in dollar terms and in BTC-valued terms   Huh

Yes, okay sure it's still massively up but I was kinda sorta getting used to seeing it *continue* going up, LOL... call me greedy if you want but after three years plus of looking at RED numbers it was finally a nice change of pace.

Gamecredits is an A1 project and will flip a lot of heads, but I don't know much about bitcoindark nor einsteinium

Yes, it's starting to look cheap to me, but not by a lot.  I am hoping for another mad dumper, which would almost certainly flip the trend.  Short of that, the best we can hope for is a wall of worry to at least slow things down for a while.

It's nice to get notified, but only if you...get notified.  Anyhoe, my issue was, once more for emphasis, not Poloniex' problem.

Some of you guys may not know this BUT if you add Two-Factor-Identification to your Poloniex account and then *disable* the email verification option, you can get your withdrawal pushed right thru, without the email step at all... you just enter the Google Authenticator 2FA code, quick and easy, and it goes right thru.

This may or may not be 'better' overall but if you're having problems with particular email not getting delivered, it's an option.

I use Polo this way myself, and have never had any problem (knock on wood).

But - then again - I never have more than a couple hundred dollars worth of any crypto on any exchange: those of you big-time High Rollers throwing around tens of thousands of dollars worth of these coins may not want to use this option LOL

I have not experienced any problems with poloniex since I have not recently done any withdraw.

Anyway now it looks like Poloniex has temporarily disabled NEM deposits and withdrawals. It is written on the balances, deposits & withdrawals site, not on  alerts & notices site. No reasons are given. Has anyone else experienced this?

Usually I've seen it done when they are doing some maintenance on the wallet (for any coin), and that's normal for them not to issue an alert/notice. You should be able to get some info from a trollbox moderator.

This, I've always found the trollboz admins to be able to give this information immediately and without issue. GL, Nem ugg Tongue
