wtf my server went from 17564 pps to 6640 pps whats wrong ?

We are at DIFF 9 !

PPS -30%

The rate of block seems to have lower drastically too
We are at 2block/min now.

EDIT : still ~2-3block/min like before it seem

Difficulty integer changes result in a globally lower primerate.

I cant get the QT to connect to the network. It still says 'No block source available."  I read through the first and last 15 pages or so of this thread. What am I missing?
give it a min or two and make sure port 9911 is open

Thanks. I was just being impatient.  It connected up after 5-10 min.

Hopefully the difficulty will go down as miners switch off. I have finally given up after getting nothing for 5 days.

Terminated.
Anyone rock linode and want me to use their referral code? Thought this might be a good spot to check.
Depends how much you're going to spend  Cheesy

Enough to net you that sweet, sweet $20, at the very least, but alas, you were late to the ball.
Not enough sweetness there  Roll Eyes

I'm trying to send an XPM amount equivalent to one of the block I mined, but the wallet want's a fee for it !
The block should be old enough, and it is not fragmented since I mined it !
And only one recipient, so the size should be ok.
So why do I have to pay the transaction fee  Huh (ok it's nothing, but i want to know why)?

May be the answer is when you mine you get :
block reward + transaction fee reward = fragmented minted block ?

Can we check the fragmentation with primecoin ? How ?

It's not old enough, and it's not "fragmented". To check, you'd need a coin-control release of Primecoin.

If 10 days not old enough, what is old enough ?

What's the total cap on number of Primecoins, or is there one?

The end of the coindesk article states this:
Quote
The group behind the peer-to-peer cryptocurrency, PPCoin, think it has the answer with Primecoin. There is a detailed paper [PDF] on the website, explaining how the currency works. It shows that the proof of work in finding prime numbers is computationally efficient. However, this is on the proviso that the prime numbers are not “record-breakingly large”.

This is where there is a question mark over the value as it isn’t made clear whether there are still prime numbers, other than those that break the records, to be discovered.

Anyone know the best way to merge or add a single wallet for multiple servers ubu 12.04 or 13.04?  If so, what steps should I take exactly?

and would this help in mining power together as 1 main pps machine instead of individually each server having its own wallet?

Is this really needed? Go make a Primecoin forum and post stuff like that on there. This just adds more cluttering to this subforum that already has a unbelievable high amount of XPM threads made each day.

Nice post rethaw. Bodes well for Primecoin that after so little time it's getting media exposure already. Feel free to post another summary like that in the future.

Anyone got this working on FreeBSD? There's a port for Bitcoin but I couldn't get it to compile by modifying the Bitcoin port for Primecoin.
