Ripple replaced Ethereum for the number 1 spot just in a very short periods but still Mr.Vitalik Buterin should not ignore this threat or the number 1 platform that is commonly used by most of the ICOs to support their future projects will going to take by the Ripple too.
Its been a on-going battle between XRP and ETH so to speak. There are days that XRP outperforms ETH in terms of volume so obviously it got to second spot. However, ETH investors will pour their cash on ETH again regaining the second spot
Its like this for the last couple or days or weeks so I guess its a healthy competition and the one that will benefit from all of these are investors themselves.
One thing though I like to see is this happening in a bullish market, it could be a different picture, I think XRP will really took out just like what we see earlier this month when there's so much positive news about coins. So let's see how the competition goes leading up to the end of the year.

XRP will facing a tough battle with ethereum because the market cap of ethereum can keep rising from the mined coins.
But if XRP have some products that can be mass adopted and used by many peoples, then the price will skyrocketing far from eth.

That's the point, exactly. I am also thinking like that. Which one will follow the bullrun? Will it be ETH or XRP? In my opinion, it should be ETH but as there is some good news fro XRP in the coming months, it may change the XRP environment. Yes, in my opinion, ripple prices are starting to show strength and lately, XRP often beats the volume of price movements from ETH and maybe this year XRP prices can reach very expensive prices and you should be able to buy XRP as much as you can because of the price still cheap.
Why not? Ripple is a great project, even though everybody hated him in the beginning of the year, he showed what is capable to grow even under such conditions. Waiting for news from Etherium I think they next update will restore the price.

I don't believe this yet that the ripple replaces ethereum in the second position, I think until now ethereum coints the second after bitcoint, and until now I don't think anyone has shifted ethereum's position

it will not be easy for ethereum to keep its place. ripple seems to have had a lot of positive news in the last few weeks and months. the last good news about ethereum is already some time ago and it is getting quieter around him.

Well for it will not. Bitcoin and ethereum is the both kings of different sectors. Therefore if the bull came, for sure the eth will rise again and be thenumber two in cryptocurrency. As pero the past market, it always have this so called preparatory stage in which it will goes down then rise again.
