Ethereum will still continue to take back its place any day any time,no matter the number if times XRP tries to take that 2nd place. Inasmuch as XRP dies not show and represent the true meaning of cryptocurrency, it will continue to fall back to that 3rd place. Not only that, but also that ethereum is a unique coin that has the potential of growing fast, most especially when the whole market bounces back.
Yes, it is very interesting situation. Quite recently it seemed that ETH was fixed on the second line for a long time, but everything very quickly changes. ETH began to become cheaper recently, and XRP has shown strong growth. But I believe that ETH will be above than XRP.
Ethereum replaced Ripple again. I never thought that these 2 coins will be the biggest competitors. Now Ethereum could replace Bitcoin and become the first biggest cryptocurrency

I think that the Ethereum will soon become stronger and it will not be rippled. But I agree that ripple has recently risen very strongly.
I think that XRP can get up again for a couple of days on the second line, and then fall down. Like exactly a year ago, many people can succumb to euphoria and lose their money.
currently Ripple is about 0,5 € and Etherium is about 200 €
And both have same marcetcap currently so if Ripples prize incres to about 1 or 2 € they get easy a much bigger marketcap then Etherium.
Also to get a higher cap then bitcoin is possible if Ripple prize increses to 8 or 10 € XD

ETH was already able to recover the 2 nd place. But the gap is now minimal, but soon ETH will have updates that should positively affect the price of the token. So I think that the second place is to stay behind ETH.
Given the pace at which XRP is increasing and the pace at which ETH is falling, I would not be surprised if we eventually see Ripple replacing Ethereum. But, one thing would never happen, and that is any currency over taking Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the supreme leader and shall stay the same way. It is nice to see XRP progressing like this. At one point of time, no one would have thought that ETH could ever be replaced from the second spot, but XRP has finally made that happen.
I don't think this would last because it is more of an inorganic pump, Ripple team is doing everything they can to lobby their way up. The project also lack strong community like that of Bitcoin and Ethereum which to me is very important more than the price of a tokens
It may stay there for a short period of time. Eth will come back strong, Xrp is purely hype- manipulative by whales.

Couple of minutes ago, I have seen XRP was in 2nd place. In this month, it has been happened twice. What do you think? Will XRP get the 2nd place for a long time?
In my opinion, if XRP gets the bounce in next month, the position will be for long term.
Now just a good time for ripple and not very successful for ethereum. Therefore, while ripple periodically outperforms the level of capitalization of ethereum. However, if the crypto-currency market starts to rise, ethereum will bypass much ripple in capitalization and will always be in second place. In my opinion, if XRP gets the bounce in next month, the position will be for long term.
I also think that the ripple will be able to replace the etherium in the long run and we will see a new king of altcoins

I don't fully agree with this. XRP can only interwove the 2nd spot with ETH, but retaining the position for a very long term is not likely. ETH will definitely stay behind BTC for a far longer period. In my opinion, if XRP gets the bounce in next month, the position will be for long term.
no, I still think that the ripple does not have a chance to overthrow the etherium for a long period of time. it seems to me that in the near future we will see a rapid growth of the etherium

Ripple is not a crypto currency in its pure form. Wherever it is on the list, I just ignore its. Thus, ETH occupies a firm second place.
xrp won't replace eth now, eth will still be the favorite coin at the moment. where ethereum will continue to be a popular and potential coin. but xrp has a good future and significant development, but to replace eth I think it's still difficult.
