I believe ripple is already a stable alternate coin sitting on the third spot, among the highest digital currencies until today. That's not hard to maintain at all since this digital currency is backed by most banks in the world. So, this information should be of interest to all the people who think that XRP is going to gain any value because of the small amount of XRP that is destroyed with every transaction. "Several thousand years" is certainly exaggerated, especially if the amount of transactions on the XRP ledger increases exponentially over the years. But through this statement, we can learn more about Ripple's long term strategy. XRP is not going to become a deflationary asset any time soon.
