XRP & the Building Blocks of the Internet of Value

Blog Location:  https://xrpcommunity.blog/xrp-and-the-building-blocks-of-the-internet-of-value/

Crypto is still at its beginning stages, but a series of companies are moving forward with standards-based architecture, using blockchain technology to build the infrastructure for a new version of the Internet, where value can move as fast as light.

In this latest blog, I cover progress by a series of companies and Venture Capital Firms connected to the XRP Ecosystem: Ripple, Coil, Polysign, and Andreessen Horowitz.

Included is news about a new Japanese crypto exchange that may have tens of millions of customers when they go live, the speaker list from Disrupt 2018, and Google's plans to include the new Payment Handler API in Chrome.  At the end, I tie it all together and explain the master plan across all these endeavors: The creation of the IOV!

I hope you enjoy the read.

Sincerely & thanks,
-Hodor

That is really awesome

Is the any way to decentralize it all and remove any chances of hegemony

These big business, google and central bank controls are killing us

Can the world vote on blockchain and wallet standards directly, each policy in turn so the people decide what the standards should be

You could use a decentralized blockchain like bitcoin for voting on each policy

truth in the blockchain

As.far as i understand they are trying to decentralize, they actually wrote quite few articles about it and the plan they have

The, decentralisation process is already happening in full speed:

1. XRP decoupling from Ripple, it has now its own logo and own name. Ripple as company only maintains software.

2. Rippled software 1.0 was release, that is a tipping point for decentralisation.

3. More than 30% of UNLs already do not belong to Ripple.

I believe ripple is already a stable alternate coin sitting on the third spot, among the highest digital currencies until today. That's not hard to maintain at all since this digital currency is backed by most banks in the world. I can't wait to see Ripple to rise again to 1$ market value this year and that might even exceed my expectation this coming January.

Stable is not what it wants or needs now. Just ask Ripple themselves, practically begging their holders to please start using Ripple instead of just holding it. But what can you do? All alts are facing this problem. Even so called utility coins are just being held and traded. Remember, all those banks using Ripple tech don't ever need to use XRP. So they're not concerned for XRP price. XRP has to be also integrated as a forced utility for all those new partners otherwise Ripple will never see their coin grow organically.

But isn't there already enough incentive for using XRP, since it makes transactions cheaper, and at same time
allowing banks to use that real money they're otherwise forced to keep in vostro/nostro accounts?

At least thats how I understood XRPs utility

But that's exactly what I mean whenever I talk about why all these alts are not succeeding when they've done all they can to make things "cheap" and "fast". Litecoin might have achieved that because that was its sole purpose and it was early days when they weren't that many alternatives to Bitcoin as a payment method.

But every alt and its mother wants to make things cheap and fast, but they need to understand, they have to find a different way to attract use. Maybe all its needs is to make it attractive for merchants to accept them. Maybe make it so users and spenders benefit more than holders.

Banks aren't using XRP now, they're using its blockchain tech. They like blockchain, they don't like crypto. Change that perception to crypto is what I'm saying.

The thing is, that with xRapid they use XRP under the hood, so they do not need to have a person that is going to do all that pirchases of crypto.

Also, what is more important is that XRP has purpose/utility, that is what 99% of coins do not have or blow out of thin air just to create imaginary one.

Alsi the problem of most altcoins is that they copy/paste bitcoin they do not improve, or improve a bit.

Right now, whatever coin you choose that is on the big exchange like bittrex are great coin to invest. They are all on a dip. As buyers buy coins right now, it will just be a matter of time, before the rise on the crypto world starts again. I have some ripples, its a good investment I believe as banks uses it. Everyone here at crypto only have one target in mind that is to earn. So why not use ripple to earn. It's a solid project.

Do not invest in this coin, they are bubbles. Will probably collapse at any time. Be careful, if you choose to invest choose ETH.

Ripple is not my fav but its good for day trading.
For long term investments i prefer Stellar vs Ripple.
They are both focused on transactions and my choice is stellar.

Ripple despite its isolation from all of crypto-currencies looks very promising. News of a new agreement or implementation is constantly emerging. I think this year it will rise to 2 dollars despite all its ambiguity.

it is like that the dollar currency will never be as stable as the rupiah currency

Ripple is a potential altcoin but the backing of this particular coin is the banking institutions and we cannot call Ripple as a pure crypto currency. As far as my knowledge Ripple was trending very good initially but now the price is not that much improved, even though it has good market cap and the third largest crypto with high market cap the price still need to be improved.

in January of this year , i bought some ripple . at that time its price was 2 dollars . it is now 50 cents . i am stuck . its ranking deceived me . it is a centralized coin . i won't touch it anymore .
I bought some Ripple for about $1, but I still have expectations for Ripple. I think Ripple is down now because the whole market is not good. If the bull market arrives, I believe Ripple can return to the previous price or even more higher price.Don't give up Ripple!

More speculation that the XRP currency should be classed as a security

https://www.coindesk.com/third-ripple-lawsuit-claims-xrp-is-a-security/

Do you think this will have any effect on the price in the near term?

Currently, Ripple is a coin that is being talked about a lot of people because Ripple's technology is amazing.
Ripple technology is a technology that is expected by many people, which can transfer quickly.
Many banks are researching the technology used by Ripple.
I am sure if Ripple will be a strong coin in the future.
