Hey, 1 question for you "traders" up here. I am trading XRP/ETH pair on binance and would like to figure out, who is whale when looking at market depth? Because when trading ETH/USDT its easy, someone who throws 100etrs on the market you know hes there but looking at XRP market... its hard to predict since all buyers/sellers put few k XRPs on the market.

So basically, what amount is needed for small player to start panic?

I got into crypto just half year ago, immediately noticed XRP, and never ever panicked about it...if it drops to $0.50 today, I'll feel sorry, but won't panic

How many coins are there outside? I really can't image that xrp will go up to 100 dollars in 3 or 4 years and all guys are suddenly millionaires or even billionaires. Where should all that. Money come. From? Or was it the same way with btc?

Actually I even don't know what ripple is xD. Just spent some money.

I know that I am a noob but.. Well nothing but Cheesy

$100 is not probably in next 10 years

It's no different than bitcoin. The money is coming from trillions of dollars in the worlds financial system from people to banks, governments, institution's. Keep in mind that it doesn't take as much as you think for the price to rise. Most of the ripple holders never put there coins on an exchange, so there isn't that many coins for sale on the exchanges. So the price can go up a lot quicker than people think. This is why market cap means nothing in this market.

There are some people who got in btc a long time ago than in to xrp and other altcoins. they are multimillionaires here. Some posters here have 10's of millions usd worth. Most are noobs though with smaller amounts such as your self.

As you see I am pretty new to all this here and quite happy that it worked for me to invest really just a little money in ripple. I am just wondering how much you all invested when you talk about "hold until 2020" or what ever. I see always buying and selling 200k xrp in the books of bitfinex and asking myself how rich all of you must be.

I bought 600 xrp at 0,22 dollars. Am I the only one with such less amounts and hoping for the future and all the rest got 100k +? Sounds like it all the time.

Dont worry my friend. There are a ton of small investors just like yourself.

I'm slowly accumulating XRP by buying it using mined ETH...about half the mined amount goes into XRP...got almost 10k that way, not as much as you
presumed, but still much more than you

Ive seen many people just like you stuck holding fiat turn in to disgruntled bitcoin haters. Let this be a lesson to all, don't get caught holding fiat while the crypto train leaves you behind hahaha You don't want to end up like this guy ^^^^^^

Ah yes, the old somebody else said something similar at some point and they may have been wrong... or early, so that makes you wrong too logical fallacy.

This is the first time I have said anything about it.  The ripple chart looks very bullish to me, but the bitcoin chart looks extremely bearish to me in the short term.  If it does not decline substantially in the next few days then I will happily buy back in, but it looks like it's going to plummet, and I know if it does then people will start dumping their ripple too.  Maybe if ripple were already being traded on coinbase it would be a different story.  I hope it does go way down so I can get more ripple.
You just need to zoom out a little more on the BTC chart, bull run is still very much in tact. Bitcoin is a device that transfers money from the impatient to the patient.
On the contrary I think bitcoin is a device that transfers money from cultists to realists.  It is worth nothing and backed by nothing and will ultimately return to that value in the end.  I am more than happy to miss out on a rally here or there and jump in when I'm confident.  As Mark Twain said I'm less interested in return on capital than return of capital.

Also the further I zoom out the worse it looks.  It went up way too fast and has a lot of room to fall, especially for something that unlike ripple is fundamentally worthless.

Ripple scoring gains around 20% today. Come comment with your thoughts on today's daily chart segment where it is featured.
Ripple has just kept gaining more momentum through the day. XRP/BTC markets are now at gains around 20% through the past 24 hours with traders continuing to show support for Ripple in spite of its great price increase lately. Significant profit taking has yet to take over Ripple as the market's sentiment keeps on being positive, but the longing of such levels of support is up to question.
