The current total supply of Ripple is 99,993,093,880 XRP. Take a look at the coins with that kind of supply - they are mostly penny or less tokens.

The supply will be a constant drag on the price.

The supply doesnt mean a damn thing about the value of the coin. The reason why it was created that many XRPs was to ensure stability and enough supply to scale up the system to support any client that want to get onboard.

You naysayers used the same argument when Ripple was worth $0.20 and said it was overvalued. Yet here we are at $1.20, 6x the value and the train show no signs of stopping.

Believe what you want but Id say Ripple is hugely undervalued at $1.20 and it will continue to skyrocket next year.

Ripple is a good option for investment in altcoin market since Riple is constantly moving its growth when all other alt coins is down for past few days. I guess Ripple should be competing Ethereum in future even though they are two different entities.

Ripple is not like other altcoins since it is a payment network for banks. However, this altcoin has good reputation within banks for their price and security. Ripple is one among the top 5 cryptocurrency as well.

Researching all the positives and negatives in crypto market, guess Ripple should be driving the crytocurrency market to the edge.

What people don't realize, is that xrp isn't just for banks. We can use it as a medium of exchange as a currency. It can already scale for mass adoption right now. It can be what bitcoin was meant to be and so much more. It isn't as centralized as people say it is.

XRP is just like the rest of the coins in crypto being fud by most who hates banks, but I guess in the end those who fud had been investing to XRP too. Its a matter of profit only after all they don't care whether its centralized or not. If it gets to be useful in the next years, XRP will have good value and if you don't try to buy for your stash, you miss an opportunity.

what do you think of the price will be going in the next days, will it stay in line for several weeks? or just rock without a while

Depends on the market. The BTC dip had no consequences so far, what speaks for a decent bull run. If there is no other, deeper BTC dip on its way in the next few days, market should turn so deeply bullish, that no coin will be spared...

Apart from this, the development at the moment looks like, that more and more coins are emancipating from BTC. What is a good step in the right direction and a sign for a growing up market. And this should be good for XRP and other coins as well.

If you say so bro but I don't think BTc price is gonna go deeper again like below 11K. It may stay for awhile in $15K and then back to $14k before moving up again.

XRP had found its place int he crypto and so most of the investors believed this to be successful in the future. If all of the sudden XRP will skyrocket to more than $5 each like being predicted, a lot of us would get freedom. So while its still, I suggest those who read this, buy more.

When everything is red on coinmarketcap, ripple was the only green one. This is really incredible, I wonder why the price rise so much when bitcoin is taking a big dip. Maybe because of the rumor that it will get list on Coinbase? They said something like they will add 5 news coin in 2018, so I am sure Ripple will probably be one of them. well good job to every one who bought it at a good price. i am a little bit jealous
My 2 cents:

Because money is moving out from Bitcoin and invested in XRP instead. Bitcoin will probably go up in value eventually but the potential for way bigger profit is much much better with Ripple and XRP. The coin is heavy undervalued right now.

It seems that they deliberately control exchange rate. If you look at Bitstamp XRP/USD pair orderbook, you will see a lot of suspiciously rounded orders both buy and sell, giving only corridor of ~10%. Did anyone else notice such orderbook at any exchanges?

Ripple is sitting comfortably at number 3 in the cryptoworld's digital currency with the most biggest market capital. But its price is still at 1$ and it's the cheapest digital currency around with the biggest market capital. If investors will see that and invest more, i think, this digital currency will reach 10$ by January 2018.

Definitely RUN AWAY from poloniex- They are screwing everyone depositing altcoins or money-
This is quote from page 1
"COIN DEVS: BEWARE OF SCAMMERS CLAIMING TO BE FROM POLONIEX. I (busoni/Tristan) am the only one who has the authority to list coins. Furthermore, I will never approach you and ask for a bounty."

"I will operate Poloniex with honesty and integrity and be as transparent as possible when answering your questions. I believe this is the only true way to earn trust."

Bunch of  LIARS I have the equivalent of 82500 $ in ripple as you can see in the link above and it's a  month now I sent multiple tickets and they bury their head in the sand!!!  AWFUL SCAMMERS- Flee from them- You've been warned-

Did anyone of you check the total market cap? I mean, of all Ripple coins, not just the circulating ones.

Here the link: https://coinmarketcap.com/coins/views/market-cap-by-total-supply/

So that means, Ripple's market cap is almost 45% of Bitcoin market cap AND Ripple market cap is more than ETH? Guys, please think about it, there's something wrong with Ripple...
Ripple has an actual purpose and use.  As I understand it's being used by actual real companies for real international money transfers to reduce costs.  BTC and ETH are crap IMO, backed by nothing but hysteria and faith in some poorly defined notion of decentralization, under the assumption that decentralization itself is always a good thing or is the main goal or something.  It's turned into kind of a cult.  I'm honestly not interested in bitcoin anymore.  I don't have faith in its future. The mania will probably go on for some time, but I"m okay missing out on that.  I'd rather buy gold than bitcoin at this point.  It's a much better value proposition for sure.

So why is Ripple besser than ETH / BTC or all those dozens of other coins out there (e.g. IOTA)? Banks / companies can't use for example IOTA? Why does it need Ripple?
IOTA doesn't have a trusted wallet. It is worthless. You can only buy for speculation. And the founders love to speculate about news that is not true. It will worth 0 next year. If you believe on IOTA you should sell everything else include Bitcoin. Because if IOTA success, this means everything else would have no value and Blockchain would die.

Ripple could coexist with Bitcoin. ETH, ADA, Litecoi, Monero... They could have a function with the success of Bitcoin. But IOTA can't.

So, you have 2 option: Or you believe in IOTA and sell everything else. Or you believe in Blockchain and would never buy or hold IOTA.
does ripple have a wallet, don't see any link on their website?

Why dont you use Rippex

XRP has a nice trend. A very good feast rose. Let's see if he can hold it there now. If I hold on, I will gain confidence and continue to take a stronger path.

marketcap means nothing, you don't own a piece of the company

Wrong. Because you basically own a share of the total amount of coins. So there will come a time when all those coins will be placed on the market. Then goodnight.
Wrong, only a small percentage will ever come to the market. That's why market means nothing.

correct 👍
