So everyone is selling ripple now because everyone else is also selling their bitcoin?  What kind of sense does that make?  Who cares about bitcoin?  Bitcoin is irrelevant.

I guess it's good that speculators are so irrational.  Would be hard to make money otherwise.  When bitcoin was going up it was the opposite, everyone selling ripple because btc is going up, now everyone sells because btc is going down, just like a herd of sheep.

I had the foresight to sell my ripple for USDT and wait for retrace after bitcoin broke support, but I didn't pull the trigger because at first ripple was actually going up not down.  Too bad.  I gave speculators way too much credit.  Could have increased my ripple by a lot.  I still think new highs are just around the corner.  Ripple is the future.  Goodbye weak hands.  You will regret it.  That rally was not finished.  I still don't think it is.  Just a brief interruption due to irrelevant bitcoin crash.

I am really pleasantly surprised with ripple and its stability. With all alts collapsing, it is currently closer to its ATH compared to the other major players. Losses are something like ~ -10%, while for the rest they are ~ -20% or higher.

Bitcoin has experienced a sharp decline. The altcoins are being etched. The future price for XMR is expected to reach $ 500. It can take 3 or 4 months.

Why do you talk about XMR here? This is XRP forum. I think XRP has got a better future than XMR, as there are many coins like XMR but noone like XRP.

yes price will not stop here, maybe will run till friday / saturday and conolidate at 1usd

i think 2018 will be fieworks ;-)

this is very good especially for long time holders, as usual the better strategy for huge gains (look at bitcoin, dash, monero, ethereum and so on)

intraday is only for big big whales in my opinion or very like ones

i do intraday only for fun with small change

As long as ripple does not get exposed for the scam it is, might be lucky and hit all time high.

Bitter? Its still not too late even for you

Not late at all I have my ripple (from 2014), I can see a good scam and know when to invest

This is the moment I have been waiting for, when the scam can be easily presented to the millions of naive masses who are looking to get in

Please provide us with the evidence you are larping about

I bought about 750k XRP 3 years ago, and got stolen after XRP connected to BTC.

Is there any evidence of the talk of ripple coming to coinbase or is that pumping scheme?
If you can't distinguish a pump scheme vs real growth, your in the wrong market lol

Did anyone of you check the total market cap? I mean, of all Ripple coins, not just the circulating ones.

marketcap means nothing, you don't own a piece of the company

Wrong. Because you basically own a share of the total amount of coins. So there will come a time when all those coins will be placed on the market. Then goodnight.
Wrong, only a small percentage will ever come to the market. That's why market means nothing.

Since i got here, Ripple (XRP) is already in the talk on this board and as i look at the graph, it's below 1$ but the market capital is big and since i know that a digital currency's market price is determined by supply and demand, then i really got a feeling that XRP will really be a good coin to invest and now it has a market price of 1#+ already.

It's already 1.10 USD on Bitstamp and even more on Bithumb. Another nice rocket flight today - more are going to come - I hope Smiley !

Here the link: https://coinmarketcap.com/coins/views/market-cap-by-total-supply/

So that means, Ripple's market cap is almost 45% of Bitcoin market cap AND Ripple market cap is more than ETH? Guys, please think about it, there's something wrong with Ripple...
Ripple has an actual purpose and use.  As I understand it's being used by actual real companies for real international money transfers to reduce costs.  BTC and ETH are crap IMO, backed by nothing but hysteria and faith in some poorly defined notion of decentralization, under the assumption that decentralization itself is always a good thing or is the main goal or something.  It's turned into kind of a cult.  I'm honestly not interested in bitcoin anymore.  I don't have faith in its future. The mania will probably go on for some time, but I"m okay missing out on that.  I'd rather buy gold than bitcoin at this point.  It's a much better value proposition for sure.

So why is Ripple besser than ETH / BTC or all those dozens of other coins out there (e.g. IOTA)? Banks / companies can't use for example IOTA? Why does it need Ripple?
IOTA doesn't have a trusted wallet. It is worthless. You can only buy for speculation. And the founders love to speculate about news that is not true. It will worth 0 next year. If you believe on IOTA you should sell everything else include Bitcoin. Because if IOTA success, this means everything else would have no value and Blockchain would die.

Ripple could coexist with Bitcoin. ETH, ADA, Litecoi, Monero... They could have a function with the success of Bitcoin. But IOTA can't.

So, you have 2 option: Or you believe in IOTA and sell everything else. Or you believe in Blockchain and would never buy or hold IOTA.

Don't ask me.  Ask the banks.  The fact is banks picked Ripple.  I don't know anything about IOTA.  Don't really care either until it has a real use case.

If I had to guess why they picked Ripple it probably has something to do with the dreaded centralized nature of Ripple, and the fact that it holds copious reserves, the kind of things the bitcoin cult hates.

Oh I see IOTA is about the "internet of things."  Give me a break.  Nobody gives a shit about the internet of things.  I will purposely avoid every appliance that needlessly comes with WiFi for the rest of my life.  My phone needs WiFi.  My laptop needs WiFi.  My toaster does not need and I do not want it to have WiFi.

Wow ripple hits another all time high. Its crazy how Ripple is soaring up the last time. To be honest I really didnt expect Ripple to hit even close to a dollar this year. So glad that I bought some coins right before it took off at $.23

Whats the reason behind this new pump?
