Can someone explain how exchanges prices can be soo different. e.g Bitstamp has BTC for $1760 while Polo has it for $1888? even with exchange fees you can make more money just transfering from one exchange to another lol

Also XRP is 36c on Bitstamp and 40c on Polo. That adds up if you buy big and transfer from one to another.
polo is tether dollars, you must multiply the polo price by 0.92 to get the actual price.

Why 0.92? I'm suprised USDT could drop so low when its supposed to be pegged to USD..

i think you should read why market cap isnt a good measure of a coins success, some very good points here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/breaking-news-bitcoin-dominance-50-1919850

It doesnt have to be a correction, you do have to take account whales or those fattening their BTC collection using alts. XRP rise happened as BTC went down. As mentioned the test for XRP will be next BTC rally, this will split the XRP holders/followers from the whales and BTC fans. XRP has already moved sideways and slightly down since BTC has started to move. There will be people watching BTC to ensure it is growing before they move off other alts. To discount there are people like that and everyone is a XRP (or other alt) holder is silly.

With the current rate at which Ripple's price and marketcap is rapidly growing, I won't be surprised waking up one morning to see it at #1 spot above bitcoin. It only baffles me how people claim that ripple has infinity supply yet the price is growing steadily. I don't think It's time for some correction.

But if you think a whale with that money will place a market order all out, I doubt you are doing it good.

Ofc he will not push the price to 0 (even though he can), he will play the flow with the current bubble and take small profits until he decides when he can dump it all together.

Its not just the whale its the flow on effect of everyone that panics. A lot of people bought recently as we have seen so they wont wont to lose their profits so they cash out to. its the long term holders that are still in profit that hold and the reason it doesnt go to 0.

People panic, its only natural. When a person bought in can affect when they want to sell. I did it recently with litecoin. It started to drop so i cashed out and im glad i did as holding would have meant id be in the negative now.

This is true, a panic sell might happen, they have happened in the past too when ripple was below 10k. Takes a while of consolidation but then it rises again

I am not lying, I've seen the red lines of whales cashing out. It doesn't drop to the bottom though.

Well if you are comparing 100/200 BTC mini whales to a 10k whale you are doing it wrong...

Sorry droizx, but this has been happening since the 5k area already. It's fine, chart drops 50% recovers in a day. No whale will let it drop all the way to the bottom because that's a huge loss for him as well. It's impossible too or the whale would have to do it on other big exchanges as well or the price would recover quickly because of arbitrage bots

Since the 5k area? hum sorry but you are lying... I have been following xrp since the 2200 satoshis. If you think this whale will not make profit at some point, well then I wish you good luck to you all.

Most of the people who were shouting out at 18k satoshi that it is best time to leave and crying now. Where this rise will stop because it seems that it was suppressed badly and now market is reacting this extremely. XRP finally has created a nuew millionaires by awarding huge money for everyone's hodling for long time.

The marketcap continue to rise too, currently its 62 billion. Where do you think these money came from? I presumme these billions are from the banks who are also trying to get their way into cryptocurrencies.

Some whale has 10k btc worth in XRP ready to dump, be aware guys. This can get ugly really fast.
The 7k orderbook can't fill this whale belly, just think guys, 1 guy/entity can easily pop this bubble for good.

Interesting. Im only new to polo so only just noticed the difference. Really if you had 10 BTC and you transfered it to polo, thats $1000 more there, i cant see fees mattering with that difference. I only keep a small amount on Polo.

Same with Buying, surely if you wanted to buy $1000 (or more) in XRP you would rather do it at 36c than 40c. Plus the benefit of no DDOS lol

Polo has no fiat. It's higher because you get tether dollars there, and the company behind tether has trouble with their banks. So you can only redeem them on a USDT/USD exchange like Kraken, possibly causing slippage when it's a large sum of money or risking the price will tank when there is a new controversy with tether.

Polo is just a more expensive exchange, it's just not worth it to do the transfer then get your XRP stuck on Polo where you will need to sell and switch for BTC which is more expensive then send the BTC back to Bitstamp where you will sell cheaper and rebuy XRP. In the end it just ends up evening out. So no you can't just buy big and transfer from one to another and make easy profit.

I've really liked the steps Ripple is taking with XRP so I have bought in now as well after being a hater. Just got HODL this coin, government can crack down on many coins after the ransomware attack but not this one as it is regulated.
