less ppl wanting to sell, might be part of it as well Smiley

g

Yeah And price is pretty walled in at the moment, only allows people to buy and wait of sell and walk,
Whoever has those 30 BTC walls up decides what happens with the coin..

Odd that it's just liked Doged was @ 6 sats for a year  Roll Eyes

I have a quetsion. Why is the volume on bittrex going down? From 480 to 170?

Did you see what happened to the price over the last week? That doesn't happen without volume going up.

Volume goes up, volume goes down, it's a normal healthy part of the process. Volume is still WAY up over where it was and we all just need to continue to promote and help.

I'm sure you will.

My point wasn't so much whether or not you actually got help or not, but how it looked in public like it was a one man show. From a marketing point of view, I find it important to point out that there are multiple people involved, thus the well-being of a coin is not directly linked to the well-being of a single person (I hope that doesn't sound too heartless?).

no i completely agree. thats the beauty of open source. if i died tomorrow, the coin can still live on forever ;]

btw for those who are looking for dev, you can find him in the irc chat  Grin https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/#verge

i appreciate the concerns guys! yeah, so far ive done about 95% of the development myself, but don't be mistaken, i have alot of friends that are developers as well, and sometimes people from the community reach out and submit pull requests to source codes in our repository. when/if i get stuck, i have many people i can turn to for help, so i don't think anyone needs to worry =]

i dont feel overworked, and i enjoy working on verge. i always have since the beginning, when we had a much smaller market cap/daily volume/interest. i didn't create this to make money, as a matter of fact it's certainly cost me more than i've gotten from it, but again that's not why i made it.. i wanted to make a privacy tool/crypto that was easy to use, and that's what i've done/plan to continue doing.. now that we are there, the plan is to continue building out the existing private verge networks, and get new networks up in upcoming private networks that are being released.. also there is a really awesome project called "kovri" that is basically a c++ implementation of i2P, which i am currently toying with, along with developers from i2p, monero, and anoncoin.

in the mean time, here's how you can see contributors to verge source codes/resources:
(our main source code)
https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE/graphs/contributors
(our raspi source code)
https://github.com/vergecurrency/raspi/graphs/contributors

so yeah, i get help when i need it, and sometimes i get help when i didn't even know i needed it ;]

ps: as stated above, im in the irc chat 24/7, and have been since the start, 18 months ago.

I think it would be a good thing to get at least a second dev on board. Not to jinx anything, but what if – god forbid – something happens to vergeDEV or he is temporarily unavailable/on vacation/whatever?

Just my opinion.

No.

Dev has been working their ass off on this coin for a few years no or so. If you are just finding out about it go back and read the previous and original thread.

They are accomplishing what their objective is.

Maybe one day or currently working behind the scene with some one else but for now don't go messing with something that is not broke.

I have seen in the past, way past, where this dev had helped a coin through some issues. Don't remember the coin now because it does not exist any longer.

It is a shame it took so long for people to see this coin and what the dev is capable of. The name switch was a very good idea that took a little too long to happen but I can't complain about that because it allowed me to build more up.

For all we know, there could be a second dev, or a small team of people working behind the scenes.

It has always appeared to be "amazing crazy" what this guy can do in such short time periods while I have been watching this currency grow.

Hard to believe that he is solo.

What I think ttookk is saying is that if anything made DogeDarkDev/VergeDev unavailable, this place could become a mess.

I like the idea of a few more devs/help aboard.

That guy at least needs/deserves a vacation!

My point exactly. It is an insurance. And burnout is a thing. Plus, it might benefit the stability of the course to know that there is a backup.

you dont have to worry about that, there are plenty of people working on this coin Wink

I think this may be a good idea in the future once the market cap grows more. Delegation is important in a business at one point Dev cant do all the work, it will be overwhelming and counter productive.

The market cap is approx 2 millions market cap. All the community should add some work and it will pay off, it is not only the Dev's responsibility to work on the project.

I think right now the focus should be some good marketing campaign and organise it better. What has been done is amazing but a better structure is required imo. Basically, create an official marketing team that works with the radio show. Now is the time to push because we want to get added to Shapehift, btc38 and poloniex, marketing with social media is a powerful tool. I gathered a couple of ideas that were mentioned in chat by the community

1-0% fee pool to promote mining when coin is hit by high hash rate that slow the system down
2-An interview stream&radio show with Dev that explain the vision and the future with some Verge contest give away which can be promoted on social media
3-a skype channel,
3-register to @crowdfire
4-Get sponsored by thedailydecrypt

Any suggestions are welcome.

I'm sure there is an altcoin startup in the works somewhere out there that promises to clone humans via the blockchain. We'll just have to partner up with them.
