This announcement is the biggest Fail i ever see  everybody tought it was Paypal or something big like that but wait....no...its pornhub lol, hard to believe that they crowfunding 75 millions for that ! Seriously, nowadays, who pay for porn, and who will take time to mine or buy cryptocurrency for a fucking hand job, everything is free and paid by ads today ! the good thing about that is while angry fanboys are still on the verge, they will not invest on real other crypto letting us alone

1) What do you know about anything?

2) Most contracts have a right of rescission. They often come with heavy penalties though. Have you seen the contract? Let's see it if you have it. You don't? Oh, sit down then.

3) Basically, this is a dumb comment. The partnership isn't with PornHub... it's with the company that owns them: MindGeek. Getting facts straight often helps.

4) I got my sub for 116 XVG this morning. As of right now, that's $8.52/USD. Plenty of people have and WILL continue to get subs this way. Again, uninformed comment.

5) Walk into any business and say the business sucks. See what happens.

When you post, do you think beforehand how dumb you might sound and decide to post anyway? Might want to rethink that strategy.

I don't own Verge but this thing is a big deal. People that don't understand this are naive.

If the goal is speculate to make money I don't see why the porn industry should be trated differently from any other business

Just want to say a few things:

1. This is not a partnership just Verge paying for advertising which only pornhub will benefit from in the end just look at the headlines pornhub gets referenced way more then verge. (Basically Verge is paying for an Ad campaign for pornhub)
(Definition of a partnership: "A type of business organization in which two or more individuals pool money, skills, and other resources, and share profit and loss in accordance with terms of the partnership agreement. ")

2. Pornhub probably has every right to remove Verge as a payment option tommorow if it didn't work out for them.

3. They basically scammed everyone who donated saying that they had a partnership.

4. Not a case of real word usage nobody will use this system it's too expensive $10 sub for $20 if you use Verge if not more.
(25% if you buy with verge you already have if you need to buy through an exchange you already lose exchanging from fiat to crypto and then from btc/ltc/eth to xvg)

5. Verge bans discord users that say the coin is a scam.

Just don't invest in this the millions could have been used better like developing an actual coin with technology so they wouldn't have to pay for a 'Partnership' but companies would be like can we implement your currency as a payment method somehow?

While I understand people use credit cards to buy BTC/ETH/LTC, I'm sure most people know better than that (or should).

He wasn't referring to the cost of purchasing BTC though. It was described in an earlier post that the XVG was valued at a higher cost than what the membership typically goes for which is not the case. I paid 116 XVG for my monthly membership which when it was completed, was $9.99 - There is no upcharge involved is all I'm saying.

Pretty sure he meant the costs affilated to aquire XVG at this point. As i understand his post he means paying with a CC on an Exchange to get BTC, ETH whatever, than exchanging
it into XVG and than transfering it to pornhub.
He has a valid point here. Not everybody mines or sits on a bag of XVG. So the average Joe has to get these XVG from somewhere, this is again affilated with costs, not?

What cost increase? No such thing. The cost isn't pegged. It's based on current market value at the point of purchase. Having facts are always good. I already posted this though.

Whether you perceive the benefit or not, an absolute ton of people DO see the benefit and have already begun using XVG on the various MindGeek sites.

No one using these sites is going to care about "anonymity" enough to pay the extra costs and jump through the hoops necessary to acquire Verge and pay with it over the method they already use. First you have to acquire XVG which will either involve buying it (and incurring a fee from the service you use, provided your bank/cc even allows it) or mining it (which incurs higher energy costs since most consumer PCs aren't designed to generate large hash rates while efficiently using power). Then you might have to go through the process of converting a crypto you bought/hold into XVG, which incurs exchange fees. Then on top of all that, they're charging you more than if you'd just paid with your cc.

All this so, what, a charge doesn't appear on your statement that only you see anyway? Paying extra to put your dirty laundry on a public ledger that's copied on thousands of computers doesn't seem like great value. I realize that a lot of people's knee jerk reaction is that this "partnership" will lead to mass adoption of Verge, but there is very little evidence to suggest that anyone who already pays for porn will switch to paying with XVG and even less to suggest that anyone who doesn't normally pay will begin to.

The partner is not only pornhub but the whole mindgeek which also include their filmmaker brazzerz. and yes you are right as that platform is the leading platform for many more so the remaining will also follow them and they will also adopt it after they see this happen easily. This will make this verge coin the best among all other and the team member was right that this coin is going to be among the top three coin sooner.

I think it was a good strategy to partner up with pornhub. Verge is on their home page, impossible to not see by (millions?) of users everyday. Amazing for the marketing!
Think of this like sort of a "TestNet" and that a lot of more businesses will start implementing Verge in the near future.

I also believe they will introduce Verge Debit Card this year as well.
