Sure, i would have preferred, if the partner would have been PayPal or even Amazon. But it was not very realistic to think that. Lets wait and see what will happen next year. Those fickles claiming pornsite a deal big boost for Verge, here's the deal: Porn is already a multi billion dollars industry, has been long before the dawn of cryptos, do you understand what that means? Obviously not. SO let me make it simple for you. People have no problems accessing porn material using traditional fiat resources be it CC or cash etc for ages. Verg tagging along to claim providing privacy to customer is just bullshit that only kindergarten novices would accept.

And where on earth do you hear a partnership needing to raise millions in funds? What has been the use of that extra cash raised by the latest crowdfunding? Marketing ...  really? You need to market a deal with an as established an industry as porn? You turds are really comical.

It's no secret that the porn industry is an industry that will not disappear in this world because everyone in the world loves it.
Verge made the right decision to partner with Pornhub.
Verge has a good idea because if Pornhub accepts payments with Verge then XVG will not disappear and has strong potential to compete with other crypto in the world.

Ya this is actually a pretty big deal, when monero was added to some darknet markets it gave it a real use case and the price skyrocketed months after.

I could see something similar happening with verge....although i hate to say it because there are so many clueless newbie shills who just spam outrageous price predictions to try and create fomo. I still think it's by far one of the most manipulated markets in crypto, the ridiculous dump to 840sats today shows that.

Regardless if you like it or not, it will be a privacy coin that is here to stay....I don't know how they are going to be going in and out of fiat though, someone wants their porn anonymously so their spouse or whoever cant see it...they gotta go from fiat to verge first...

Don't be so quick to judge. The internet only exists today thanks to porn. It is also porn that will lead the mass adoption of crypto and Verge is leading the way. "Pesky partnership deal with porn site?" Pornhub gets more views than Facebook, Amazon, eBay and Twitter. That's a long way from "pesky"!

BTW: Price is climbing niceley...  Business is about making a profit. If you don't like the way that's done, you are free to leave, someone will take your seat that's for sure.

Just let me add that this partnership wouldn't be too bad at all IF there haven't been used some 5+ Million Dollars for it.
Lets even forget for a second that its porn, without that mega useless hype XVG would NOW go pump extremely. Mostly much higher than it went while the hype was on. Just from a marketing POV this was bad managed in my opionion.

We are for sure aware that a lot of investors and believers are dissapointed, no matter if this move turns out good or bad. There was no need for that bit false leading announcement made, and this leaves a bad taste at a not so small number of XVG believers.

While you have a point with having Verge accepted as a payment method on these pornsites, have in mind it's not like 20 years ago where pornsites have been the gold mines of interent. Since the coming of TGP and later Tubes direct porn income went down the hill. This is compensated eventually by cam sites and most be adverts, such the Verge has paid it seems. Seriously, while these tube sites have a huge number of visitors (the nature of free content) i doubt they have a huge paid membership base at all.

Time will show how good/bad this move is. And as you said, if someone does not agree to a given statement or post, everybody is free to think, buy, sell, hold, dumb, pump, whatever on his own discretion, easy as that.

1. Verge is now partnered with MindGeek. If you don't understand the significance of that, please go to their site here: https://www.mindgeek.com/ and read up on who and what they are and how they effect the industry.

2. This was a business decision, not a moral one.

3. Crypto was designed just for this kind of thing and privacy coins are targeted specifically for this kind of use.

4. Moral judgements aside, millions of people spend money on porn. If you don't like that, sell out now.

5. It doesn't matter what traditional credit suppliers do, this is crypto and crypto has always marched to the beat of a different drummer.

Stay or leave, totally your choice but don't think others will follow you if they don't agree with you...
