PS: Although this post was pen on the funny side, I truly am serious about this endeavor.

Phinn, old age is getting to you. And maybe that barn door also  Undecided

How do you like me know, psy. To paraphrase Rush Limbaugh, I can operate with half my brain splattered on a mining shaft ceiling!

Can I get in on this? Seeing as how it was my post that started all this, you know...

And I have spent bitcoins on something before. I can't remember what, though, so it must have been good..

Very forward thinking, this will make us better prepared to face the future where a satoshi equals 1 fiat cent.   Smiley
I formally request to be part of this fine circle of men of substance, as I have spend not one, but a least four bitcoins already.

Queued for invites (pending):

Got it!

Domain Name: FREECOINER.ORG
Created on: 08-Jul-12

I'm not a branding expert, but unlike Ellet (sorry, Matthew, but I'll make it up to you), I did do the following:

We'll be able to watch the Google search count grow daily for "freecoiner" as the term gets index via their algorithm.

To become a member of this soon-t0-be-named Masonic-type org., one must...

  • be invited by an existing member
  • show proof of spending at least 1 BTC on any product or service, besides your own

I, being the founder of the soon to be name organization/group/(whatever), formally invite AndrewBUD into the fold (for lack of a better term).

~Bruno~

Actually,to join the Masons, you must get to know one and ask to join. All you need is for someone to vouch for you. Well, that and be willing to do crazy stuff while sober.

If I don't have to pray to any false god, I'm in Smiley

So not to alienate half the current members, I've opt to nix an idea I was a workin' on.

Before becoming a full member, you have to answer the following question truthfully.

Q. Have you spent at least 1 BTC on a product or service not your own? (future litmus test takers will have them offering up proof that such a transaction transpired)

Once answered, you will become the first Degree(1) member.

I'm so excited, I can't hold back my excitement. Soon, it looks like, the membership base is going to double. This is so exciting, and I wonder if this will excite others into wanting their own special invites.

Stay tuned, for there's more to come.

^ I like it.... But it looks more like a coin..

I was thinking more of the design elements circumnavigating the Bitcoin symbol 'B' as the global element you so kindly suggested. Aside from that, what do you truly think about this idea? Will you be accepting my invite? I'm allowed by the bylaws (note to self: pen bylaws) to give out only one invite a day, with tomorrow's invite reserved for Matthew.

I sure do hope Matthew accepts, for I'll need him to produce the free quarterly publication for all the members of this soon-to-be-named organization. The publication and distribution cost will be paid for via ad revenue alone with Matthew and his team at the helm and paid a prevailing rate for their services. (that, alone, should get his attention)

~Bruno~

So, if I get your plan correctly, that quarterly publication would only be published 1 time each year, right?

You really know how to fuck up a perfectly wet dream, don't you, psy?

Yes and no! (seriously) I now can't get this brainfart out of the half brain of mine.

I really think they could if they wanted to.

Interesting! I don't how your post inspired me to think of the following, but it did.

What if we (not sure who we are) started our (again, not sure...) Masonic-type group, but open sourced, opened to all? Yes, I fully aware that that's what Bitcoin and its protocol is all about, but I'm speaking now of a fraternity of sorts, and not necessarily a parody of an existing one.

We can start with the symbol below, changing the G to a B with two arced images, reminiscent of cryptography, instead of the construction trade implements.

Before I go and purchase a domain name (believe I have a good one), do you, the reader, think there's enough interest? (if you say yes, I'll let you read my diary)
