Well I wanna be next Smiley

You're in, Andrew, now invite somebody, hopefully one of the other users who have shown interest in Freecoiner.

I formally invite Matthew N. Wright, today, to join Freecoiner, with other invites waiting in queue since, by the by-laws (same note to self--pen by-laws), I've allowed myself/ourselves to exercise only one invite within a 24 hour period.

I've taken certain liberties in regard to Freecoiner in that I've elevated Satoshi Nakamoto to (100o), thus Satoshi Nakamoto(100o) and, likewise, Gavin Andresen(50o), pending him accepting the honor and joining this exclusive coterie (I'm beginning to enjoy French). All others, including myself, will only be elevated one degree at a time unless provisos have been granted via helping with tasks during the development stage.

Currently, I have the main Freecoiner thread in Newbie until it's ready for prime time: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/freecoinerorg-92218

Psy's reply hits the nail on the head or, in my case, drives the rod through.

It wasn't a typo, but merely an attempt at humor, at no time dissing your idea. When I first read through your post, my brain, the better half, read altruistic as autistic, hence...

One of the main charities that I donate to here in Sandwich, Illinois, is to a group that care for autistic adults. I don't have anybody in my family, that I know of, who has this disorder, but somehow have found a special place in my heart for them. Even more so of late since the state has cut back fundings across the board.

On a related matter, what would you give to be able to do this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZ6_W7_Zztw
Or this?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MszlmT6ONvQ#t=2964s (the art segment is not very long, but wait till you hear the music)

All that said, please accept my humble apology if I somehow offender you.

I just had this totally altruistic idea, besides normal ranks we should have a honorary "bit" rank.
founder is the first bit, first two members are the seconds bits, next four are the third bits of the order and so on.
All hail Phinnaeus Gage, first bit of the order of the freecoiners

It great to see others sharing their autistic ideas.

Looks like we've had our first password phrase leak. I'm now going have to change "Sounds pretty nifty." to something else.  Grin

I guess it's time to start a thread in Discussion about Freecoiner.org to get this nifty train a rollin'.

To answer you question about what is the purpose of Freecoiners, you'll have to wait a spell while I conjure one up. I have several ideas--all good--and I promise they won't be stupid ones.

What I have so far in mind is:

  • Membership is free, and by invite only, albeit I may forego that aspect for the first X members.
  • A free quarterly magazine to all members once X members have joined. (published by Matthew and his gang of Merry Men)
  • A hierarchy system will be in place, tentatively degrees (o), to distinguish ranking of members.
  • A yearly Freecoiner Convention/Expo to be held on one continent on a rotation basis.
~Bruno~

Sounds pretty nifty.

This is interesting. What exactly would be the purpose of said organization?
I can offer proof of BFL purchase.

Thanks, mokahless. I've thought about this thread all day today while out in the field (not crops, but barn wood harvesting). I already had the name in mind, but waited till there was some sort of traction before I leaped.
