You know, this is all just nuts =) Bitcoin isn't a [classic] ponzi only because merchants accept it as payment option.

But do they accept Bitcoin? No. They accept Bitpay. It's a really different things. Merchants don't need bitcoin itself because of volatility. And what do we have? We have adoption, where all economics depends on TWO single points of failure: Bitpay and MtGox, where Bitpay hedges.

Kill one of them and all will just stop exists: wordpress, namecheap, amazon and other famous merchants accepting Bitcoin Bitpay. Especially taking into account how much money Bitpay laundered for BFL scam.

This all can blow at anytime. I hope i will get rich first =)

You forget Silk Road.

Nonsense!

Starting to look like we could have an immanent take off upwards.

What makes you say that? Just curious, and hopeful you're right.

I don't like stocks bearish kickstart today and rising dollar from bullish PoV.

I don't know why, but looks like some WS guys repeat stocks sentiments at bitcoin in evening. Whether they are hedging or what...

I'd stay prepared for taking profits from that

what do you think about this. what i'm seeing is that every time price stays above the top band for an extended period of time, it retraces, often to the 30 day wma but sometimes only to the 10

drawing channels is ok but i think you're setting yourself up for failure because you know its likely to break out as more and more people find out about bitcoin

bolinger bands seem to work better becuase they're dynamic
I'd say we need to defend your wma30 again as always =)

First I learnt MACDs and etc, but i realised all this are poor indicators. I tried one speculation move selling it on the top when all indicators was weak, but i lost 5% anyway.
Thx to Lucif posts i realised i must learn drawing proper channels, learn to use moving avereges and deviations and most of all - learn to try predict zigzags.
BTC is different from other stocks, because supply is constantly scarce, thus long term keeping > speculation unless someone is really good in TA.

Thank You Lucif for sharing your knowledge!

And the ultimate rule when you are out of coordinates and you have high emotional background: DONT DO ANYTHING until emotional background will calm down. Rest, sleep, walk at street. Then develop a new plan.

This is ultimate Plan B for any plan.

Brilliant advice. I've gotten burned many many times by "panic" buy or sell. I simply don't do shit anymore.

It's a 1 million dollar advice I got from one professional forex trader.

Books, strategies, indicators, EW rules - all is shit comparing to trading psyhology.

If you want to learn trading, the first thing to learn is trading psyhology. All other is the secondary.

Actually I stepped away from this plan last time, sold not at planned conditions. Of course I am at profit, but I lost too much other chances, I lost exit point, I have no entry point anymore and I become very nervous, coz I am out of coordinates, flying in vacuum.

This is not right to step away from plan.

Good thread, thx and keep up with it!

Do you have any BTCs invested now? (what % of your portfolio if i can ask)
