bestever is youe best share ever found

Oh i see, thanks Smiley

I've just finished paying fees for the pool server to run for another year. Given the number of blocks solved this year, I'd feel bad having the community provide funds to support its running. Let's see where we stand in a year's time again.

The Ckpool server is very far from Spain?
He tells me that having the Pool server far away can increase the Ping, is mining from Spain recommended in Ckpool

can anyone help me!?

About this one, not sure if this is what you're looking for or if its still valid, but here you can see diff stratums, there is one for europe users

Hello there, quick questions about the ckpool stats.

I understand the obv hashrate params, but could someone explain me what do these params mean? I guess the bestshare is the closest one to "mine" a block? But I'm not pretty sure about bestshare vs bestever

Code:
{
 "lastshare": 1652874674,
 "shares": 11897642822,
 "bestshare": 414938470.4481227,

   "shares": 487014704,

   "bestever": 414938470

I'm just curious does anyone know how much the cost to operate the server for the one year?

I am not sure about "the" server but I have some of my own servers parked in a virginia data center and it's about $1720/month excluding the cost of the servers. That's for dual redundant power,  crossovers, 1gb dedicated pipe, the rack and other security items.  The servers are where you can spend some serious $.  My newest Dell server was $21,000 so that's where the costs get crazy.

AFAIK from previous info posted here -ck uses a dedicated server from https://us.ovhcloud.com/

It was a while ago now and the specs have obviously been updated since but I'm pretty sure its this one: https://us.ovhcloud.com/bare-metal/infra/infra-1-le/ with the default spec, so about $104 a month.

used to be 1000 usd or so every six months but thats a while ago.

I did a funding drive maybe 2-3 years ago. we paid for 18-24 months worth.

Hi all, tell me please if there is a difference how to mine on this pool. Whether to split the power into several workers or just one worker with all the power?

It has NO effect on your chances of finding a block, if you use a good monitoring software with tons of automation features, then monitoring your hashrate on the pool isn't needed, if not -- then it makes sense to use a different worker for every miner, in that case, you can check the pool status to see if worker #2 for an example isn't hashing at full speed or not hashing at all.

Just fyi, I reached out to the Braiins guys and they were able to assist me in getting ckpool to come online. Hashing again now.

Does it matter if I use a BIP84 address for solo or is there a different address type that would be better?
You can use any address type you like, but I have not validated whether taproot addresses work. I recommend native segwit (bech32 addresses) though.
