Hello everyone,

I would like to set up a setup with BTC miners as our friend has in the champion post.

Can anyone help me by indicating what I need to buy and where, because the sites I'm looking for are all sold out for usb mining products.

I would like to use GekkoScience NEWPAC usb with Raspberry Pi 4 with linux installed, would that be the best option to start?

Thanks if you can help me.

@Sledge0001 is a celebrity now. Even in local language newspaper, these miner images are there.

Hahaha. Lucky should be my name.

I really want to thank everyone on the forum for their support and guidance.
Particularly thank you to the following:

-CK <-- Your pool has changed my world and wallet balance forever.
Kano <-- Your software and guidance was invaluable.
SideHack <-- You evil genius your hardware although small was extremely effective.
Willi9974 <-- I used the funds won from one of your block parties to buy the hardware
419Mining.com <-- Seller of the Compac F's
AsicPuppy.com  <-- Seller of the Compac F's

I chose to share it was me for a few reasons:

1. Why shouldn't I share my success with others? I'd love to see you all hit.
2. Share the fact that you can still get lucky on the ever growing Bitcoin Blockchain even as a small or in my case micro solo miner. I am hopeful that this brings more small miners into scene.
3. Draw attention to smaller pools. It's a shame there are a few "big" pools out there that dominate most of the mining.
4. Yes I hit on a USB Miner Stick. I had 9 GekkoScience Compac F's (all overclocked) running cgminer on a HP Omen machine (That was also mining ETH at the time) hence the name "The Omen"
5. The 86TH that was seen on my account was mostly rented hashpower from Nicehash that had stopped prior to me finding the block. To be clear no rented hashpower was used to mine this block.
6. My entire USB Mining Farm consists of about 8.2TH - 9.3TH. The Omen had about 3.65TH of that at the time of finding the block.
7. I wanted to share the images of my setup and cgminer to show indisputable proof of what had transpired. (I too would be ultra skeptical if someone told me they hit like this on a USB stick miner).

Now because I hit big should I give up now? Nah... I am still mining with ALL my USB Stick miners as you can see here: https://solo.ckpool.org/users/3EoqjNmeaaVvVDCPbVXxQQRH6UFpDUqpPg

Again thank you all.

Congratulation bc1q2pr99p75skdzyqdg0hnpd7hf56tge6h9x4wyet for solving Block 721310 !
I watch'ed it live with cgminer, so I will put a screenshot later in here. and that's how it looks like when solo.ckpool.org finds a block:

I would really love to get this view, how do I setup this view? Is it a live feed of CKPool? I work from home and have over 4 monitors. I would love to setup one just with the overall CKPool live screen and if possible one for each miner or all my miners at once.

You simply start cgminer pointed to the solopool with your btc-address, even without any miner connected.
So you observe the pool using cgminer.
Your messages will be the pool messages only then.

Can you show us example of the command used to do this with cgminer? I'm also interested in watching in this way

Thank you

So how do you determine if the ISP provider is blocking the port? I've tried to use different port on ckpool and still come up as dead network? I've read through the thread and know that the network is very much Alive. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Try the proxy offered about a page back, it's located in .de and often helps people in the middle east connect for example, who are blocked from that particular datacentre (unfortunately).

It works for me for 5 minutes, then there is no access. Even to the site. VPN doesn't help.

That is not at all the response I get when I check that site. Besides, the pool is running fine as I can see, but routing across the earth is often funky.

I've shut down the asicminer prisma proxy port as there were very few remaining users, and some occasional unintentional abusers, and confused users. I can't imagine there are many still in operation out there but sorry about any inconvenience if you were trying to use them.

Fuck BlackRock
I hate mining anything not CPU mineable. I love mining altcoins thought to be dead for 0 profit lmao. However... I decided to experiment. Ran cpuminer with 12 threads til my computer got loud enough for me to say I'll never try that ever again! but congrats to the lottery winners here hehe:

Code:
cpuminer-gw64-corei7 -a sha256d -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1JBsrJK59ppfV4xqW9uNiYRA4NdLtDxXEf.0 -p x

EDIT: Honestly I think you guys are pioneering a way to more efficiently but better mine Bitcoin because -ck has used his brain and knowledge of the guts of the majority of pool mining code/operations to realize there's still a place for a "Timechain" focused strategy with the right amount of efficiency and the guerilla like tactics to not just brute force with hash power or be YAP (yet another pool) consolidating to act like the big fish farms... You guys are sort of picking the right places to focus and mining through a "path" that works for people with far less hash power and its gonna definitely work. Why would anyone prefer making bits and pieces of pool payouts when one big score would make up for multiple years of their lives at this time? I have always disliked pool mining. Which is why when I could've bought the hardware years back when this game got super expensive I decided to invest instead and spend my time learning instead of waiting for pool payouts Smiley

Godspeed!

Hi. I've tried using both the . and then the _ and get same result. It still shows network as Dead for ckpool via port 3333. I've tried the other ports too per the CK Pool Instruction.

@HagssFIN
There are 2 common reasons for not being able to connect:
1. The most common one is that you have a typo in your bitcoin address, or added a space somewhere, like before the address.
2. You are in a part of the world where routing is blocked to the datacentre where the pool is hosted - this is unfortunately out of my control as I don't block anyone from mining there.

@-ck

Gotta keep on trying. My guess is that the ISP blocked off the port(s) to CK Pool. Thank you all!

Congrats to the lucky miner on the new block! Exciting news!
