hi guys, I am trying to set up the proxy configuration to rig two miners together but I am struggling with it. Anyone has tried it recently and worked for them? I'd really appreciate if you reply, many thanks in advance

Hello everybody
Do you know what lastshare value means on the
pool user status?

its almost like a timestamp of your last share that was accepted by the pool basically

nothing important

only number important on solo pool is "best share"

Ok. Thanks for quick response Smiley

So how goes finding folks for a new Lottery run?  Tongue
Actually mainly just putting the thread title back to normal. While I'm not a fan of the pool it had to be done...  Grin

Not that well as I hoped. Right now there was 1? member who said that he would go for a next run. Not even worth to check the Nicehash prices tbh. Cheesy
Maybe there is more interest in the next few days. Would love to participate in a new lottery run. Smiley

Think for yourself
I understand and thank you very much for the explanation. Good luck to you.

And good luck to you as well.

It is fun to watch the shares scroll and the Best Share value increment in CGMiner on my Pi.

Most people mine with Newpac's for the fun of it.  There is always a slight chance of finding a share that meets or exceeds the current difficulty for finding a block.  You have to decide for yourself what your point or goal is.

Ah, thank you for the explanation and help. I thought I was playing the lottery. So what's the point of leaving NEWPACK on? What is the advantage and goal of this?
Is the difficulty set low or high?
The pool adjusts difficulty automatically to submit approximately 18 shares per minute.  So you don't need to worry about difficulty settings.

You didn't find a block!  A block was found on the network.  That happens about once every 10 minutes.

The chances of your finding a block with a Newpac are beyond astronomical.

Also if your miner found a block you would have a best share value above current difficulty.

Sure, but no payment appeared in my wallet, so I thought I had a badly set miner .... So how does a "lottery win" work out? Thank you

It means just what it says. A new block was found on the network.  The pool was slow in detecting the new block and sending your miner new work.  Happens from time to time.  Has nothing to do with your miner.

"New block detected on network before pool notification stratum from pool 0 at height 674900". What does it mean? I have a difficulty setting of 512 and 400Mhz overclock.

Hello yall,

I'm new here, I use USB Gekko NEWPACK.
This week, during solo mining at CKPOOL, the following message popped up:
"New block detected on networkbefore pool notification stratum from pool 0 at height 674900". What does it mean? I have a difficulty setting of 512 and 400Mhz overclock.

@vmanupelli check the CGMiner.conf file in the cgminer directory. I suspect there are multiple pools defined there. Failover is the default afaik so that is not weird, what is weird is that you have multiple pools if you didn't define them yourself. But, as I said, check the conf file and go from there.

edit: by the way, you are mining to the solo pool and at full speed too because afaik 45 GH/s is about the normal max for those babies.

Thank you!  Much appreciated.

I will check the generated conf file.  I saw one generated but didn't scrutinize it much.  I will.

Would we find enough participants for another run? It's time for block 258!

I would be up for it - haven't been able to buy any gpu's in weeks and didn't bet on March Madness.

Hi, i'm a new user...but i don't undertand how many BTC i mining.
This is my address https://solo.ckpool.org/users/3LVnW55gppwywvpMEcyEreE6u7u2RNRbRo

And, when i recive the BTC? Every 0,001BTC?

Thx for answer, sorry for my english...i'm italian.

Filippo.

Like Mikey said above,

you are on a lottery (luck) pool    this is an all or nothing mining pool

so do not ever expect a payout of BTC here, unless you solve the block, which then, you will get the block reward.

here's your odds

50 Gigahash

Chance per block: 1 in 2,964,035,084

Chance per day: 1 in 20,583,577

Time estimate: 56,393 years

be constructive or S.T.F.U

You won't get any rewards mining to cksolo unless you find a block and then you get 6.25 btc + transaction fees - pool fees, but your hashrate shows 50 something GH, which means you will probably not make anything even mining to a PPS pool, what device are you using?

I almost have the same setup, just 2 Newpac Miners but with a big passive custom cooler (yeah, yeah there's nothing I have to compensate ;p), therefore clocked higher and it all runs flawlessly.
I start just the miner with a one-line-bash-script that provides the parameters and not with the config-file. For this sort of lottery mining I didnt define any failover pool and seeing my uptime it's imo a bit of an overkill
