Thanks for testing, yes the newpool is hashing live and if a block was found the reward would be distributed as normal. There'll  be a brief outage as I will be migrating the stats from the old pool across and gradually migrating miners today. If any issue occurs I will switch them back to the old hardware.

The new hardware is in its testing phase now and I'd appreciate it if some people could direct their hashrate to it, but make sure to have a backup pool specified in case of instability. Use the pool details of newsolo.ckpool.org:3333 . Once it's proven stable for an extended period I'll migrate the solo.ckpool.org domain to the new hardware.

Thanks for the upgrades and updates CK! As always much appreciation and many thanks for this public service to the community.

About 2.5 hours ago I tested and moved over 1x S19 Pro 100T running in Low Power mode.

Originally it was hashing and reading (ie showing up online) at about 77-79T on the original (solo.ckpool.org) server and running relatively error free.

Now, on the new server, it's reading (ie showing up online, at newsolo.ckpool.org/user/ADDRESS) as slightly higher hashrate - about 80-81T (vs 77-79 before). And currently has submitted over 2,500 shares successfully with only 1 share rejected.

My other workers all appeared at the new address, shown in the same order as on the current live server, only they show up as essentially inactive workers (and these inactive worker's respective shares seem old/off though).

I will update this if any anomalies, errors or rejected shares, etc..

EDIT: I now see the shares for the worker I moved over are also old data, and much less than the number of shares I had accumulated on the original server. No big deal at all, and I'm assuming you're aware of this CK, just wanted to point it out just in case and for the rest of us.

Lastly, I'm assuming given we're testing it right now, in the 1 in 20+ yrs chance that my rig hits a Block at this "newsolo" server that this server is live and thus I would be rewarded the Block, correct? (to the Debbie Downers out there, I know hitting right now is a low likelihood scenario - just want to verify this new server is live on the blockchain).

Good luck everyone, let's get another Block soon! LFG!!!

Thanks for the updates.

OK moving my kit onto the new server, will advise if I see any issues.

Cheers

G.

-Update

All connected OK, appears to be hashing and submitting shares. Shares being accepted at the normal rates I've been seeing previously.
Will keep monitoring throughout the day.

-Update #2

All running OK, no signs of any issues at all.

Interestingly there have been zero rejected shares in the time its been running, normally I see a handful even over a short duration.

Average hash rate is marginally higher also. Of the two rigs I have attached:-
#1 averaged 470GH/s on solo and is now averaging 482GH/s on newsolo
#2 averaged 715GH/s on solo and is now averaging 722GH/s on newsolo

Hi all. For storage reasons, I'm looking to upgrade the bare metal dedicated server the pool runs on in the next few days. While I'll be bringing the new pool online and migrating users from one to the other, you shouldn't notice any significant downtime but there may be exceptions, and the pool stats may be bumpy in the process.

Don't worry, it is nice to see you are working behind the scene as useual, the blockchain getting bigger and bigger.
Thank you.

Glad to see the CK pool is still running.
And because of the glorious time for Bitcoin this last quarter of 2024, I have restarted my little antrouter yesterday. He has not been mining for several years. I forgot to plug it back when i moved apartment.
I plugged it in yesterday afternoon and it instantly began to mine again, like if nothing happened.
So I guess I am back in the pool.

Congrats! With a huge 3.3+BTC/$310+k USD payout!

Bravo someone but damn, wish a small miner gets the next one and soon!!!!! LFG!!

From what I see that's number 15 for CK pool in 2024 so far.

Hi, I was lottery mining and my miner said I hit a bitcoin block on November 6th but I have no recieved the btc yet. Is there anyway to verify I hit the block.
No block was solved here on the 6th of November. I am guessing you have extremely low powered hardware and simply found your first relatively low difficulty share, in which case you need something trillions of times rarer, and probably shouldn't be mining with that hardware at all. (My guess is a nerdminer.)

So many numbers and so little time
Wasn't active on CK Pool in 2021 as BTC was in price discovery mode but wonder if this pool has hit blocks on days of a new BTC ATH.

BTC just crossed over $92,500 USD, meaning a block right now would be a $289k whopper.

I hope this is the silence before the storm, and cannot understand how we've been stuck at best share of 48T for nearly 3 weeks (I got 5T best share overnight and my heart nearly stopped when I saw it)

[I know BTC price has nothing to do with a CK Pool Solo Block, just would be awesome to see a Block here today! and at 127% pool luck we're arguably due]

Good luck everyone - lets fuckin go ladies and gents!

You're doing better than I am, best my rig ever hit was 49.04B

Managed to hit a 146.7B with a 1PH mining rental, but luck doesn't appear to be shining in my direction presently.

Average share sizes are tiny at present. Since the last block the best my rig has turned up is 318.94M. Quite dissapointing really.

Share sizes seem very low at present, I've seen this pattern before normally following a new block where share sizes are small barely above difficulty setting, then gradually creeping up to a few in the millions here and there. But, this time it seems to be stuck in a low gear and barely scraping past difficulty.

I keep thinking to myself as I see new block messages flying past, "Leave some for the rest of us!!!"  Tongue

Anyway, best of luck to all.

Someone's got to crack the next nut...

Stats page feature request...

Would it be possible to add markers to the graphs on the stats page to indicate when a new block was started showing the block number and also when the best share for a worker was submitted?

Something like this maybe?

Thanks

Turns out the guy I rented from had his machines off..
Had me going crazy for a hot second.
All refunded and good.
Hopefully for the better and I smash a block.

Thanks, for some reason not working for me.

try port 4334 instead

I have successfully used MRR to rent hashrate here with the following config:

Pool Host:Port=solo.ckpool.org:4334
Workername=YourBTCWalletAddress.workername
Password=x [or whatever, it doesn't matter but above I'm using Hi Diff Port 4334 not 3333]

Good luck!
