Yes sure - I was notified when madmartyk found block yesterday (I use iOS App).

How? I have never been able to get it to work for solo and just tried again.

If you put your solo address in the API/Address spot it says you need to sign up with an account with API to get block notices, if you turn off notices it says invalid address.

Never heard of anyone using it for solo successfully.

EDIT - Nevermind, you have the apple app, that's why. I thought we were talking about android.

There is no "better" since they are two different ways of mining - one is steady share income and other is solo gamble. They both (IMO) best in their class.
It is everyone of us choice to make which way to go - including myself hanging on the decision.
I'm sure of one: for small miner like me solo is NOT for investment but as expensive hobby which may turn prize one day... or never.
Go solo ONLY when you can afford to never get paid.

AFAIK miners rent extra haspower in both, and again everyone has to find his own idea how much to invest, when and where.

My question was not properly wrote , sorry , I just edited it.
I didn't want to compare CK solo and Kano, but I wanted to compare "CK solo by direct mining" and" "CK solo by rentals thanks to rewards from Kano mining" (considering using the same gear in both cases).
Are you sur the app works with cksolo ?

As far as I know that app never worked with cksolo, it only worked with kano.is.
