The distance between blocks is not measured in time.
So trying to find a pattern using time will only lead you down a path that goes nowhere.

CK pool seems to hit 2 blocks very close to each other all the time...it's almost like a pattern.

Thanks!!!  I actually rented 3P for 2 days and got nuttin'.  Rented 47T for a week and had about 12 hours left!!!  Saw the popup and thought it was just another shit coin until I saw BTC!!!

But random is random luck, my 1st block and only block so far was pure luck with 18TH / 4xS7

my subsequent attempts with lotto groups and rentals 1ph and even 2ph.... nothing! 

I have thrown 1 - 3 PH rentals at my solo set up now and then, the best share i got was from my rig itself which was a 7B one, have never exceeded that with a rental : )

I will hit though, tis a matter of time 

I have a S7 which is acting up, 3rd board intermittently goes off and on, but similar to your case, this guy best share currently is 28B!!!
I am going to just leave it alone - who knows.... I may get my 2nd solo block with this box

Welcome. Just address is fine if you're only going to have one worker. You don't need a password but if your rental service demands one, just put anything in, like x . The only difference between direct mining and rentals is that rentals often need you to use port 3334 in the configuration.

New to renting and want to try it out.

when i sign up my pool
im going to use solo ck pool
under user name do i just put wallet address only? or address.worker1?
i dont need a password do i?

Right now due to power constraints where I have it;  my S7 is plugged in with only 2 hash boards hooked up.

Surprisingly this is the best share its ever given me so far =)    Im going to stick it out until the halving at least.   Try to make the miner pay for itself and a few more.
