If you are using Windows the standard windows client give you a pop-up in the system tray when you get paid for a block.  What more do you need!!!

I need a notification on my phone lol

I like to rent occasionally and would like to be notified on my phone since I'm not around my computer much and am tired of looking to see whether I got lucky or not...

Use electrum or something more reliable, where you get to control your private keys.

I've always used the bitcointalk software, so I don't know too much about electrum or blockchain.info

Im just trying to find a way to be notified when a block is found since I can't find any apps that will do it, except for maybe one for iOS, but I have a droid so it won't work for me.

At any rate I downloaded the wallet and sent myself a payment to see how loud it was when a payment came in and the stupid wallet didn't alert me anyways, so I guess it doesn't matter if I can solo mine to blockchains wallet anyways, lol

Really wish there was a way to get notifications on my phone :/

i used a blockchain.info address but i never found a block :/

but what you can do.. is fire up electrum, generate an address.. then get the key from electrum and put it in blockchain.info as a cold address notification only.

then you get a text when you receive or spend funds from that wallet.

also, be sure you make a buckup of they key electrum gives you, as you will need it to spend funds..

Electrum is a wallet software, it can be ran on your desktop, and on your Android phone you can have Mycellium. They can even share their HD wallets, and you can have read only wallets on mycellium.

You can't go wrong with both of these.

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but want to know for sure.

One can solo mine to their blockchain.info wallet correct?

I'm wondering mainly because I can't find an app that will notify me when a block was found.
That's something you have to check with blockchain.info, not me. Most of those services often fake the address you're sending to and send it elsewhere so maybe not...

Think for yourself
It may take me over 3 days to generate a Block at current BTC Difficulty.

Mine at Jonny's Pool
That's not how it works... Expected time to block is based on your hash rate, not some multiplier of a share you found.

Wish it was a Block.
It would have been if you'd have found that share before March 18th 2013 Wink

Yeah if my maths is correct your share needs to be at least 326,000 times more than the 5,040,731 you've got to solve a block right now.

Used to have 3 antminers S3s and rented number S5 and S7 for hashing power.... yet my best share came from a little rockminer r-box running at 36ghs....  it was over 4,000,000,000..... you just never know where those bigger shares will come from....

Lie down. Have a cookie
As humans we put our faith into some things that may or may not be possible....

I Love it Grin

But there is some rental junkies going nuts since the start of the year, maybe they are trying to get in before the halving in their minds.
In the past week some rental junkies are paying 1.5x to 2x more than the standard pricing. Eating up 95% of westhash hash available. Just ridiculous.
