Yes that's right, they're separate pools entirely. While they will relay blocks between themselves, the mining component is unique to each node. The Status page then change also to de.ckpool.org/users/btc-address i assume.

Question for the solo users out there: Is there demand for extra solo pools in other parts of the world? I can set up a China and Germany based solo pool now as well. Anyone interested?

I think these are the settings you are looking for. Changing "url" to "quota" and specifying the amounts in the format "AMOUNT;URL". It makes it easier to use percents, but it isn't a requirement. For example you could use a quota of 8 for pool1 and 2 for pool2.with kano.is and solo.ckpool.org sharing the same code base,
