ck, is anything going on with the pool right now? My miners (both personal and rental) are hashing at a very low rate.
Edit: looks like it's back to normal now. Not sure what happened there..

I would love to know if anyone has hit a block with high hash rate 500th or more from nicehash etc i know this has been discussed but phillipma didnt say what kind of hash he had when he found one with there service or how long ago... just wondering as i've spent a few thousand dollars and have had a highest share of 4g which is pitiful with 600-1200 th/s for 6-10 hours at a time

Writing a pool software with a main goal = speed / user / relaibility it is a good idea
to NOT put fancy features and options on it.
That makes debuging and maintanance much easyer.
As ck sayed it is a non profit project and he spend his free time for it!
All Information you need is in the status and you can write your own "Fancy Display" if
you are able to convert it.
I looked in the tools written from several people to learn more about to handle those data
coming from a webpage (I normaly program mikrocontroller in asm and c).

I've been stalking this thread for months now and I still chuckle every time someone asks about features to the pool. Like adding something.
"Can we have comma's on the numbers?" "No."
"Can we...?" "No."
"But.." "No."
And it's funny knowing that these answers are always the same. Why? You want the fastest speeds with low resource usage(server-side resources), so that your block will actually be confirmed by the network.
Sure I can add features but the pool hardly makes any money as it is and every feature added demands a restart which I go to great pains to avoid. If the pool was more profitable, or there was some other incentive, then sure I could add more features. None of the feature requests are really going to add any noticeable overhead - it's just there's a lack of any incentive to add features to a bare bones high performance no frills service. 2 questions about the stats function
1) if I hit a winning share, say 75G, will my stats page ever actually show that? (Best share resets every time a block is hit right?)
2) is there perhaps a different URL that gives hash rates in raw numbers vs suffixed numbers? (2500000000 vs. 2.5G for example)?

I also have this homegrown monitoring dashboard. It's really poorly written and a total hack, but it's good enough for me. If anyone wants it, I'll post to github as is with a short readme. I posted elsewhere with an older version here in the forums, but it didn't get a lot of traction (which is probably good, because like I said, it's poorly written).
Note that as edonkey said, almost all of these stats are not particularly useful, but it's kinda fun to look at.

I've written a script that sends notification emails when a block is found by the pool, or if a new best share for a given worker or user address has improved.
If the found block is one of your monitored addresses, the script congratulates you. Otherwise it wishes you better luck next time
Sure the best share value is a useless statistic. There are no near misses in the mining game, and past success is no indication of future success. However the best share value does provide a little bit of feedback that something is happening. And it's kind of fun to cheer on your miners. If you don't want best share notification, you can disable it.
In the future more notifications can be added, like hash rate warnings.

Had some HW fail. Only chance for any sort of profit for me is to hit a block solo mining. Pointing 1850 GH here in the hopes I hit a block sometime in the next 6 months. My calculations say my chances are about 1:12 or 8% for that to happen (factoring in 5% diff jumps at each change). Can anyone comment on if I've run that number right?
