If you don't got an USB Miner on it (2GH min.) it will not be a lottery, it will be a waste of time and energy.
Can you explain?

He's saying the minimum you should mine with would be a 2GH SHA-256 USB miner. Anything else, PC, Laptop, GPU, is too slow to even consider it a lottery device.

which is wrong, but what do I know.

a cpu doing   50mh or 0.05gh

vs gpu doing 100mh or .1gh

vs a stick doing 2000mh or 2.0gh

vs a stick doing  20000mh or 20.gh

vs a stick doing 40000mh or 40gh

all are lottery in my book

LOL, yes he's wrong, but you obviously know what he means. Because how many CPU's GPU's or Raspberry Pi's do you have mining BTC on this or any other pool? And if none why not?

I mine cpu's and gpu's at other coins since the math is better for me.
I do mine  some s9's here

http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

Best ever:

44,277,454,156

which is not too close to   7,184,404,942,701

my math for those 3 =

51,427,973,784 GH//42,000GH which is

1,224,475 to 1 per block or
8503 to 1 a day  or
283 to 1 a month   I pay 130 for  power a month to do this

so if payout was 36847 usd my odds would be  breakeven   since  payout would be  69600  at current BTC price.

I am not gambling  I am doing a high risk  high reward investment  as per the definition of investment.

vs the  definition of gambling  .

This would be true as long as I pay 130 usd a month  chance of hitting stays at 283 a month and payout is above 40,000 usd.

Which as I now reveal why I started this thread:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/will-btc-difficulty-go-sideways-for-rest-of-the-year-5043713

Except that an RPi does something like 50kh. Still a lottery, but you know...

yeah  truly higher odds.

here is current hash rate

51,427,973,784 GH/s

so a sidehack newwac the greatest most powerful asic stick ever made as of today  does around 40gh

so 51,000,000,000/40 = 1,275,000,000 to one each block or

1,275,000,000/144 = 8,854,166 to 1 each day

vs 50kh x 20 = 1 mh x 1000 = 1gh x 40 =40gh

so 20 x 1000 x 40 = 800,000 times hard with a rasp pi then a new pac by sidehack

or 24,257 years for the stick from sidehack   vs 19,406,391,232 years for a rasp pi

Yea I suppose I could do that but I used to have a bunch of s3's on here but they have recently been put to rest as I got a bunch of V9's in,
so really is like I just upped the amount of lotto tickets I'm buying the electric bill stems from LTC block hunting and my A3s and D3's

Shame the miner don't seem to show me the best share in GUI so I have to do with the stats on the pool.

one billion, eight hundred seventy million, six hundred seventy-four thousand, eight hundred thirteen!

and a electric bill that could stretch from the UK to China lol

since you have an expensive power rate. why not just play the loterry with something that is power friendly like those ASIC USB Bitcoin Miners. at least to lower your power bill, i know you might say the hashrate on those things is super low. but really in this game our chances are slim to nothing, so from a LOGICAL "not based on numbers" point of view, it really does not matter whether you hashing at 5th or 5mh. it is simply a plain a shot in the dark, wether your eyes are open or shut.

The usual reason for this is your hashrate is so pitifully small that you haven't even found a single share yet, but you're using a worker name instead of a user name, so get rid of the .0 at the end.
You might be right, because i setup a lottery miner with raspberry pi. Thanks.

I think we all know that whatever statics shown by the solo pool are practically useless. they do not reflect our chances of hitting the next block. but it is emotionally encouraging  to see people on the same "SOLO" pool finding blocks Grin . i don't know how to explain it well enough but i am sure most of you can relate  Cheesy
