4296658863483 is the actual bestshare of the pool (and this share was found and submitted by a USER)

I know.
But your statement is wrong:

"I don't think the best share has moved at all since the last block find."

-When the last block was found, best share resets to 0 on the pool statistics. The same for your personal bestshare, it also resets to 0

You are right that submitted shares and are meaningless and bestever is also meaningless until its not above diff.
But its important for statistic reasons.

Submitted shares gives me an overview about the ressources i have spend.

Submitted shares and bestever gives me an overview of mining at all and i can calculate my personal "luck"

Edit: Statistically you can calculate: Pool Luck, User luck, and even worker luck - But in the end its only a statistic

4296658863483 is the actual bestshare of the pool since last block. And because there is no bestever in http://solo.ckpool.org/pool/ it has to be the highest share of the actual possible block.

As far as i understand: if the total shares of a user are nearly equal to the bestever, the personal luck is 100%. If the highest share is bigger you had more luck and if bestever is under your total shares, your luck is under 100%.
If my shares are nearly 3times higher than my bestever my personal luck is about 30-40%.  Undecided

I know that it does not matter as far as my bestshare is not above difficulty target. But it would be nice to see a higher share  Grin

The best share is not that of all the workers on the  "pool" as its solo mining here so what is shown is the highest Best Share submitted by a user.
The term "pool" throws people a little it makes people think that they are working together to solve a block and the block finder get's the reward.
Where as you are working on your own to find and submit a block and no other work on the pool is related to your attempt.

Edit.  Also shares have no value in solo mining the stats are only there to show you that your miner is actually submitting something so just ignore the total shares submitted as they are meaningless.

My bestever has not changed since last found block.
My shares are nearly 3 times higher than the best share  Undecided
I think the luck is not on my side.

I don't think the best share has moved at all since the last block find.
seems to have been at "bestshare": 4296658863483,  since very low diff % with no change even with almost 100ph push the other day by someone.
Just need to keep pushing on someone will find one soon enough.

We are not retail.
But is that on the 24TH version of their T2T series still?

Canaan has great pricing compared to inno's odd structure as the new unit is less than the one you got from us.

Weird the 25TH @ 2050w Inno looks more efficient than than 20TH @ 1800w Avalon, imo. Then I don't have either.

my inno does 19.5  at 1700 watts   on eff setting  costs a lot more then the avalon  which does 20 th at 1800 watts

when set to full speed the inno does 25th but uses 2450 watts  plus it has pool restrictions due to Asic boost

Thanks CK I kind of guessed that would be the answer.
Last time I buy bitmain products that for sure.
Gotta be realistic - cost/power/performance ratios are everything in mining; if shitmain give you the best, there is still a reason to buy them. Having said that, they've had nothing new in 2 years and what looks like 2 failed attempts to fabricate their next gen hardware so things aren't looking in their favour any more...

to be fair

avalon made a next gen that fares poorly.  the 921

innosilicon makes the t2turbo 25+  it is okay but not as good as the A921.

the best unit I have tested is the whatsminer m10  it does 2300 watts and 34th  I have two pointed to pool.ckpool along with an innosilicon t2turbo

The usual reason for this is your hashrate is so pitifully small that you haven't even found a single share yet, but you're using a worker name instead of a user name, so get rid of the .0 at the end.

Is there any way to fix the "bestshare" showing as 0 on antminers?
Got a batch and none of them show any best share in the gui.

Sent bitmain email asking about it and they told me " Its the pool not the miner"  which I know to be false..

I know this is down to the shitty fork bitmain did of of CK's fantastic work.

CK I would be forever in your debt if you could help me fix this please.

Since it's a bitmain firmware problem how exactly do you want me to fix it? My guess from looking at their shitmain firmware years ago is it only works with power-of-2 difficulties. However, since their shitware doesn't support suggest-diff then you're screwed unless you set up a proxy and fix the difficulty to some power of 2 value in the proxy. Sure is a ridiculous workaround for dodgy shitware.

how sad, i wish bitcointalk had a function to search a single word on all 411 pages so i could put all those records on a single table :d, anyway thank's for your response .

Well thanks alot!  you just made it 412 pages to try and search for a single word  Undecided

by the way someone is pumping some serious Ph for this upcoming soloblock!!!
NICE!!!

sup with the quote ? anyway , 1 page in 411 pages is nothing, this is a solo mining thread, numbers do not mean much. it is all about luck, i randomly clicked 4 pages and 1 of them was 1.smthing ph finding a block Cheesy.

Hey ck, if it is not too much to ask, can you add the average hashrate and duration of the miner that solved the block, i know blocktrail is not yours and that you will need to make another statistic page, i just moved from antpool solo mining to ck solo. antpool has this solo statistics which shows all blocks found by miners running solo on their pools with the duration and avg hashrate.  i know history means nothing but it's quite motivating to see someone with 300gh (yes gh) solving a block in less than 3 months Cheesy. i am sure ck pool has more impressive results to show.
I have no historical records like that, though each time I post a block solve message here, the miner's details are with it.
