Few crazy people/same person but has created many different accounts seems going crazy on Yolodice right now. All of accounts hunting 9900x multipler, few accounts are in profit but others are in negative.

That is what we will get if we are playing gambling. One person can win the game, while the other people are losing their money. It will happen like that without we can stop it. Otherwise, those people stop by themselves and not waiting for the other losses. If you can stop at the right time, you will have a chance to get out of the game and save your money.

With days left to the end,,, I guess ethan's original suggestion for the name was not such a bad one after all, Bitcoin reached a new ATH for 2020 yesterday, and in some places practically broke the ATH of 2017. Good times are coming again and let us hope people feel a bit more adventurous with their casino rolling;)

nice a roll hunt on yolodice i've played before on yolodice it's good that they have some good promotions like this one. can I ask what could be the minimum placed bet and the chances in order to be eligible to the promotion?
As @eXtremal said, minimum eligible bet for lowest roll hunt competition is 0.002 ETH and doesn't matter the bet is lose or win, so any chance are ok.

Less than 3 days but no one has rolled 0 yet, but there is 1 user who rolled "1" (they hide their account name), so there are still lot of chance for anyone who want to try this roll hunt

https://yolodice.com/#bonus

The prize back to initial prize, which is 20 ETH for 30 lucky user (seems people won a lot from this roll hunt because the total prize was more than 43 ETH IIRC)

hello you should read it in detail, see the details of their terms and conditions,

For a bet to qualify, it must be an ETH bet with an amount of 0.00200000ETH or higher.

enjoy and hope to win my friend

I've just looked at the markets and I guess I should have chosen a more flexible name for the competition... Right now the markets are in retreat, turning red -- hopefully it's just a correction after quick growth -- but things look a bit less optimistic now :-)
At a time like this confidence is key. And although the market did show a little drop, now things have started picking up again. Perhaps, a build up to next week's Serenity launch?

Honestly I am thinking about stopping the weekly competitions. The main rationale for the "weeklies" was to automate competitions and give players constant and periodic gratification system, but after talking to players it looks like these weekly competitions are just kind of boring. The prizes are usually not that high, and only 5 players for each coin win anything.

In a way, every casino is now running weekly, daily even, competitions and perhaps a change in pace on here might do well. A test would determine this... Just see how players feel and if there's a drop in wagered amounts

There are tons of experiments regarding yolodice investment, I couldn't find the topic here but there were few people who invested in yolodice and made a topic about it and updated it weekly or so to show how much they were profiting from it. I would say it was usually a good increase in profit for a long time with some breaks in the middle because of some whale coming in and destroying the profits. The reason why LTC investments are 35% instead of 50% until new year is the fact that someone came in and won big as well.

So, we are talking about a chance to lose a bit here and there but the overall long term projection looks like you will profit, probably at around 20% a year margins if everything stands and nothing unexpected happens.
Look at my previous post  Wink

but I see a little confusing, if we invest here, then why is there a loss? Aren't we investing a little to help YoloDice specifically? and I am also very confused about how to calculate the loss or not if we invest here, and does every coin we invest always have a different impact?
Your investment is a part of the house so whenever players lose, you take a part (depends from your share%) from what the house earn. At the opposite when players are winning, the house loses and consequently you lose too, depending from your share also..
ok I now understand, so the simulation is that we are investors for the bookie at YOLOdice, and the results that will be shared are the total losses for players which will be an advantage for investors, and that's because everything is not always profitable, but also good for follow, I will try it with a minimum capital of investors

Our newest competition just started!  20+ ETH in prizes, and it's a Number Hunt!  Good luck, everyone!!!
Good luck everyone! I am doing my bit as soon as I get a proper connection;)

So, I am thinking, maybe we should just come back to our bi-weekly competitions? Maybe adding a new type to the existing wagering, profit and number hunt? What do you think?

I remember the wagers and contests, definitely,,, those were more popular (bigger prizes). Number hunts are probably always the most fun since anyone can do it, not just highrollers,,, I proposed before a sort of "multiplayer" where also everyone has to hit and post the right numbers in a set. After the set completes, the prize pool is shared with all the people who contributed;)

We used to run a larger competition every 2 or 3 weeks, for a single single coin with 20-30 prizes. These were mostly "number hunt", "wagering" and "most profit" competition types, and prize pools were mostly dynamic - the record one has 112 ETH in the prize pool.

Cheers,
Ethan
That's very attractive rather than current weekly competition IMO. I also read few people said back then there were around 300 people/day online on yolodice, maybe because there is no any attractive competition again ( like you have said above ) so most of people are moving to other site.

What was your bi-weekly competition? Sorry i just joined while there is weekly competition on yolodice,so i still have no odea what was your bi-weekly competition.

Adding new contest would be good as you said, and number hunt like "hit 0" which still running until now can attract more people to come rather than weekly wager competition which is only for those who have big bankroll. I know you would still get top 5 place even if you have small bankroll, but it just rarely happened.

^The ETH part on the competition is the only thing I could really see as a problem but aside from that Yolo finally heard people that we need more competition to get the website going once more with attracting more users. It is great that they see the feedback and they act accordingly, after all we do need something major in order to get more customers once more and they are doing it once again, 20+ ETH would mean 10 thousand dollars and that is not really something small, it is even more than 10k at this point since it went up a bit.

However ETH is not publicly bankrolled, we can't invest into ETH which means from all the people who will join this competition, only yolodice will make a profit from it which isn't really ideal for investors but it is still fine since yolo is also giving rewards as well so they should get the profits too.

*snip*

I really like that you hear your players concern about the completions/promotions on yolo dice. If I'm going to choose I think I'll go with the number hunt that's really interesting to have or much better if you could have all of it on your website.

Anyway, the competition is going good, the prize pool is growing and no "0" has been hit yet.

Looks like some or one whale just lost quite a bit of Bitcoin in the past few days;) I saw my investments jumped 0.6% profit just from that period. Guess the almost ATH price for BTC is making people a bit more excited. Again,,, the theory of price affecting wager was discussed several days ago but maybe it has a different effect at ATH levels?
Yeah. Just checked it.
I really thought they will be trying to minimize their bet to put their bitcoins in safety.
But, it looks like they are trying to gain more because of the high price. It's going to be a wavy profit.

More experienced gamblers probably will try and play it safe but with all the attention on crypto right now there is also going to be a bunch of newbies trying to get rich quick joining the site.

I don't expect to win this but it is great to see a new competition after so many months. Good luck to everyone.

To make it short. Your investment will be part of the house.
You should be cheering for the players to lose.  Grin Just kidding. It's part sad and part joyful.
