This is the disadvantage of playing on the digital platform. Games are already set accurate. The algorithms are almost unbreakable. That is why you had to wait until you get to the winning part. But basically, gambling addiction is treatable or curable. I had the same issues back when I was in my first employment. It was really hard at first. I had to get to the point that I lose everything, my relationship gradually went down. My people could not trust me because of my insecurities. Because I knew I did something illogical. And that is to place bets until I win. It really is hard to avoid once you are there.

I consider this as being greedy in gambling, your mindset tends to push more if you're too focus on your loses and greed will come telling you to chase that losses hoping that you can win it back. In gambling there's no way to always win, so you must know when to stop to avoid further losses and to protect your big wins.

Adrenaline rush for sure especially if you don't have a plan before you gamble so you tend to continue playing hoping that you might win another jackpot but a the end of the day, you lose all your money and the worst will happen. Betting more could signify both things but the real thing cant be determined because we don't know on whats that player do had in mind its neither being greedy or chasing up his losses.

When doing gambling then you should be aware on what are the things could possibly happen then you wont really be coming into this kind of situation.

Yeah, @OP made a really good decision when he stopped gambling. When he experienced significant losses and cost a lot of money, many people were trapped to continue betting. They are even willing to go into debt to gamble. In the end they are not only lost money, but also lost his family. Let me ask you a question , How do you sustain your gambling expenses and activities ? i mean do you have your own family? or you are still single that can manage to spend more funds than saving?

- If you have family , the best way to get rid of addiction is to ask your wife to help you out.
