my first bitcoin came from paper wallet, which gave me some random stranger in local bar in Prague. there was 5BTC on it for beers and few cigarettes and I simply never met him again..

..and then, I start to google something about bitcoin...it was summer 2012:)

Woow it was amazing you are so lucky
so how about your 5 Bitcoins
have you spend it only for beers and few cigarettes?

I withdrew all of them and to my bitcoin core wallet and then I find out, how to generate own paper wallet. So I resend them to paper one created by me personally, sealed them and buried them.

I told to myself to excavate the package at 2020, so I have to wait 5 years..:)) sometimes is not so bad to be conservative..

thank you stranger.

I got my first bitcoin from my friend, to make me believe about bitcoin and its working. Then I did trading with an altcoin and got nice profit from that. Some of that was used to do sport gambling until now  Cheesy

Intersango.

It was so nice having a decent UK exchange with faster payments.

My first bitcoins came from Primedice signature campaign way back September 2014. From then on, I started to buy a little amount of btc every month and I have never failed to do so for the past 10 months.

How'd you get your first bitcoins (faucets aside) and what did you do to them?

Depositing cold hard cash to mtgox and then withdrawing all the bitcoin safely to my wallet.  Only to later on put some bitcoin back in gox before it shut down Sad

Mine came from mining... cloud mining... but i did not make a profit because it was not profitable enough. Guess i didn't know at that time that cloud mining is not profitable most of the time.

Lesson learned, but they were my first bitcoins.

I got my first bitcoin from a poker site, I played some freerolls everyday and won some mbtc. From those winning chips, I played on the GTD tournaments and I could earn around 0.2xbtc ( I earned it in less than a month) Ofc I was so happy at that time, because I could buy some stuffs with it Smiley

I got my first few satoshis from faucets. Wasn't worth it but it was nice to test how wallet\address works. Then I bought small amount on eBay, I overpaid but the price went up so it was a good buy.

if it was few years ago the satoshis doesnt worth anything, it it was the last years then the satoshi has become in a cent maybe.

Never have 1 BTC in a wallet I fully control. I found a trick to turn 0.2 BTC into 1 BTC on PrimeDice. Due to my greedy self I lost all my BTC eventually. The feeling of having 1 BTC on PrimeDice balance is awesome. I should have taken a screenshot.

Edit: I forgot I bought one full bitcoin before I start to gamble.

That method can bring to your budget to loose and that money that you hold !!!
Remember this i dont like gamling or dice.

my frist satoshis ( because i cant say that this was bitcoins ) come from a friend, after a long conversation and all the info he give me about the bitcoin world, he decide to send me some satoshis so i can start to see how things are going on with it.

now im very glad to him for do it, after it, i start with faucets, signature campaigns, trading and lost some satoshis with ponzi scams Tongue etc etc... like most of the ppl here i think Smiley

It is nice when people like your friends send you their friends some satoshi and from them the bitcoin become more popular
