Someone at a party talked about Bitcoin, and I struck up a conversation with him. We went to his house and he created a test wallet for me, and he demonstrated with his Bitcoins, how easy and fast

transactions was done. He used about $10 worth of Bitcoin and told me to keep it... I kept it there for a long time, and used it on 3 other people to demonstrate the same thing I was taught.. The coins have since

been used, by one of those 3 people, but to be honest... I do not mind.. it had served it's purpose. I have bought and traded and worked and mined for the rest of my hoard since then....  Grin

Move On !!!!!!
Haha I bought  them on virwox when bitfoin was peaking in the end of 2013.

Then after I did some research, I have realized that I got scammed for about 15% since virwox was taking outrageous fees.

Then I decided to open localbitcoins account and my second bitcoins came from there.

My first bitcoins came from Primedice signature campaign way back September 2014. From then on, I started to buy a little amount of btc every month and I have never failed to do so for the past 10 months.

How'd you get your first bitcoins (faucets aside) and what did you do to them?

my first bitcoin came from my one of friends who introduced me to bitcoin. he created the wallets and everything for me and showed me how it worked and gave me my first bitcoins just to start me off.

today the rest of my bitcoin income is coming from signature campaign and trading altcoins now. also i try to buy some bitcoin whenever i can and feel the price is right for me.

Buy and sell bitcoins,
My first bitcoin came from a client who hired me to make a website for him. He asked me if I take bitcoin as a payment. He offered me 3 bitcoin and I was like 'is this a joke? 3 bitcoin sounds like a penny' then I did my research and I was wrong. It was a whooping $1000+ back then and I was like hell yeah! So that's my story.

I borrowed from my friend  Cheesy That was the only good option I thought to have. Well I returned him after a certain period of time when I started earning bitcoins. So neither I bought nor I received it from a signature campaign. Grin

My first Bitcoin came from a sig campaign and doing stuff for people on this forum.

Me too.. My first bitcoin I received in the form of payment from the signature campaign that I was working on and It was a really great feeling when I received my first bitcoin and since then I am just trying to multiply my bitcoins for the safety of the future and want that it should keep on growing more and more  Cheesy

Most of the people who are here have received bitcoin either by buying it or from signature campaign. And that is the best way to begin the journey and yes some signature campaigns are giving really good pay out so for the beginner I think the signature campaign is the best source and the safe source of earning bitcoins.

Yeah thats true. I got my first bitcoin by buying it and then I came to know about the sig campaigns where you can earn bitcoins and I found it very interesting was keen to join the campaign and started earning bitcoins.

My first bitcoin came from an exchange here in Thailand. I chose a local one and (later) discovered it was run by a very shady russian character. I was probably lucky he only screwed me once (by cancelling my buy order when the bitcoin price rose quickly). Lol.
After that, it's been mostly localbitcoins.com.

My first bitcoin came from Coinbase that I purchased so that I can send payment to Bitmain for an Antminer S1.  At that time, Bitmain did not accept any other types of payments except bitcoins.

Thereafter, all my bitcoins came from mining in various pools (Slush, BTC Guild, Ghash IO).

I had a small farm set up in my garage of 8 Antminer S1's. They're all gone now. I was lucky to have sold them locally before they became unprofitable.
