This is a simple, yet extremely smart answer. It's short and contains a really big truth not everybody is able to see.

It's also good to point out that the people holding is helping Bitcoin, whether they know it or not. The more holders and people using Bitcoin to buy stuff the more stable and widely accepted Bitcoin itself will become. If you are doing it for profit or if you believe in the potential it certainly contains for the future doesn't really matter - Actions speak louder than words.

My personal reason for using it is confidence in what it can achieve and adverse conditions around myself. I certainly hope increasing my participation in this aspect, even when the adverse conditions are not there anymore. This currency and the technology behind it have huge potential for the future.

Nobody really motivates me to do the hodl, strong or not, I have to hodling for a long time because I only believe that the price of bitcoin will skyrocket again in the future, with high confidence in me that makes me ready to stay hodl even though there are many negative issues and the market continues to fall.

To be honest, my motivation to continue holding is due more to a lack of imagination to do something better with my bitcoins right now, than to a solid hope that the price of bitcoin will really skyrocket to levels close to a million dollars that many bitcoiners dreamed a few years ago.

Therefore, I would be willing to sell at least part of my bitcoins as soon as I see that the price offers me an acceptable margin of profit, and not because of lack of faith in the future of the cryptocurrencies, but because I believe that bitcoin was designed for a host of useful and practical things, but not as a long-term investment instrument.

but not all coins can be for long-term investments, some of these coins are only suitable for daily trading. Hold in the long run requires a great deal of confidence in the coin you have, it will be good if you have such confidence. the problem is not everyone can grow the trust that you have. some of the holders will certainly feel panicked when they see the market fall like now, and then sell their assets. but for me the most important motivation is hold is my savings in the future, of course with this savings I want to get a house and a car so I won't sell it now.

Many reasons motivate us to hodl cryptocurrencies, of course for most of us the major one is making a good profit but the most important thing is the potential and Opportunities that the blockchain technology has given us and how many peoples were inspired by bitcoin that's why nowadays, we have a lot of different projects, very serious and has unique goal and roadmaps into integrating cryptocurrencies in our modern life and this is very promising.

I plan to Hodl for a couple of years at least. I know the market is still emerging so I think I have a good chance to see and live it go beyond expectations. Even if I put not a lot of money compared to many here, I'll be more than happy if I go x3 or more than "spent".

This is the simplest and most profitable strategy in my opinion. All you have to do is buy bitcoin, choose a good wallet for it and have a lot of patience not to sell it when the price drops. That's it. If you follow your strategy, you will have a good profit in a few years.

Alright here is the real truth - The profits we will be getting by holding our investment in crypto currencies is what that is motivating us to hold on to our crypto currencies. You might be saying I am generalizing everyone, but this is actually true. Almost everyone is in this just for the pure "crazy" profit. There are just few people (compared to ones who are here for profit) who are actually into it for the technology.

We are still in an explosive growth phase. And I think it's the last explosive one. Bitcoin price will then be more stable because its market is so big by then that price fluctuates more slowly.

My motivation in hodl lies in the idea that panic selling or selling at a relatively cheaper price decreases the value of bitcoin.I believe the HODL approach is one of the best ways to preserve the value of bitcoin. Anytime the price is falling so sharply, the best thing one can do to preserve the value of bitcoin is HODL.

1. My motivation started back in 2014, when I came to this forum. Since then, I see a great future in Bitcoin. Its price now just makes you admire. And everyone understands that this is not the limit. I am a very strong holder and very fervent in it, my reason behind this is that i can not watch a coin i sold very cheap rise to a very huge amount at the end of the day its very painful and nobody likes that so i rather keep my coins and wait for the right time to sell

i guess for the most holding is the better option the doing a dam panic sell !
And get big looses now so likely hold the coins and hope for better prizes is the best what many users can do how buyed in with a higher prize then now.
